sorry, could you clarify, what does that agreement say about direct deportation to the countries of origin or does it even exists? if there is not explicit article about it, do not know why is it matter of concern, if they object from humanitarian reasons you can offer them to receive refugees by themself, i am sure that you will more then happy to oblige.
with rising incidents and growing number of refugees it is matter of national security to contain and control that, no matter who says what.
Turkey has made a refugee readmission deal. You should know the one back from 2016. This deal also covers Afghans and others. So if Turkey makes a deal with Afghanistan/Taliban about sending refugees back the EU will likely use that agreement as basis for sending refugees back to Turkey.

As you should also know they'll use economic means to pressure Turkey into accepting the Afghan refugees.

ok, now it is clearer, so with this deportations you breach agreement but still not have consequences from EU, it is strange.

if it is by me i would ignore it no matter of which consequences as you are already overburdened with refugees.

ISLAMABAD: Taliban leaders have said they will not negotiate with the Afghan government as long as Ashraf Ghani remains president, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday.
With peace talks stalled, violence in Afghanistan has escalated spiked sharply as the insurgent group makes rapid territorial gains. A US defence official said on Wednesday that Taliban fighters could take over Kabul in 90 days.
Khan said a political settlement was looking difficult under current conditions.
"I tried to persuade the Taliban, three to four months back when the Taliban senior leadership came here," Khan told foreign journalists at his home in Islamabad.
"The condition is that as long as Ashraf Ghani is there, we (Taliban) are not going to talk to the Afghan government," Khan said, quoting the Taliban leaders as telling him.
Peace talks between the Taliban, who view Ghani and his government as puppets of the United States, and a team of Kabul-nominated Afghan negotiators started last September but have made no substantive progress.
Representatives of a number of countries, including the Untied States, are currently in the Qatari capital of Doha talking to both sides in a last-ditch push for a ceasefire before Aug 31 - the day all foreign forces officially exit Afghanistan.
The Pakistani Prime Minister said he felt the Afghan government was now trying to convince the United States to come back and intervene again.
"They've been here for 20 years. What will they do now that they did not do for 20 years?" he said.
US forces have continued to use air strikes to support Afghan forces against Taliban advances, but it remains unclear if such support will continue after August 31.
Khan said Pakistan had "made it very clear" that it does not want any American military bases in Pakistan after US forces exit Afghanistan.

Smart move tbh.
Why would the Taliban agree to such a deal when they literally control most of the country
Taliban took control over all the major border-crossings which generate millions if not billions of revenue. They took control of major airbases, got several hundred humvees, ford rangers, trucks as well as tens of tanks in addition to one brand new american UAVs
Why on earth would they just stop their campqign when they can literally put the country in their pocket
The deal is way too late tbh. The current situation is in Taliban's favour yet the deal somehow portray them as equals! IMO, Taliban would be fqing crazy to accept such a deal

China Preparing to Recognize Taliban if Kabul Falls: Sources

China is prepared to recognize the Taliban as the legitimate ruler of Afghanistan if it succeeds in toppling the Western-backed government in Kabul, U.S. News has learned, a prospect that undercuts the Biden administration's remaining source of leverage over the insurgent network as it continues its startling campaign to regain control.
