That was what i was talking about some kind of turkish presence there, now chinese will take the all cream, hope pakistan will benefit somehow trough logistic activities and overall incoming stability.

Pakistan will still be the biggest benefactor from peace in Afghanistan, From mining rights not so much, China will rely on Taliban's for security and are planing to construct road passing through Badakhshan province of Afghanistan that's border China completely bypassing Pakistan. China is also not comfortable with the slow pace of CPEC as railway project that was suppose to start in late 2019 haven't even started yet.
Best part for China is those mines are not taped in the 21th century, some of the richest copper and gold mines in the world.
And China already said that they respect Taliban's opinion according to global times.

Afghans are intelligent, tough and smart people. Let there be no doubt about that. Living in harsh, mountains and subjected to all sort of invaders has bred a tough race. So never dismiss them please. You can see how they have run to the ground Soviet Red Army and now USA. Back during the British era the Afghans wiped out a entire British Army group and left one soul alive who they sent back to the British to let them know the disaster that had visited their army.

'Remnants of an Army' by Elizabeth Butler portraying William Brydon arriving at the gates of Jalalabad as the only survivor of a 16,500 strong evacuation from Kabul in January 1842.

The problem with Afghanistan is two fold. First is geograhy. The country has high mountains with valleys which are mostly cut off from each other. This mean't that each area developed it's own independance which mutated along tribal lines. This means lots of small groups each viciously independant but non having the ability to pacify or control the rest.

Then after Britain and Russia arived the region become isolated. Almost left as a historical museum cut off from global events. This led to society remaining stuck in time. Any doubts and check out how Afghan Tajiks and Afghan Uzbeks are compared to the their brothers who came under Russian control. The differance is amazing.

Seriously they are better left off just like uncontacted tribes.

Afghans are fiercely independant they wont give up without a fight. They live and fight for their respective tribes.

Modern nation state experiment failed a lot of countries hence why its constant civil wars and uprisings like Somalia, CAR and the Congo. Iraq has the same problem too.

You cant bring 100 tribes to live together to live in one nation. Loyalty is to one tribe or clan.

I have to say lot of confidence and diplomatic skill in recent talibans statements.
In short they’re saying fork over the money and rebuilding of our nation after fucking it over. And stay the fuck away.

Australia is more than happy to comply and pay nickles for the shooting practice they’ve done and be done with it.
