Kok sedikit banyak penyakit militer Belanda (KNIL) di Indonesia dulu masih kerasa ya sampe sekarang. Under equipped, doesn't have large air force fighter aircraft, doesn't have large Navy especially surface combatant vessels, small armored units composition, small fire power per units, more or less the organizational level and structure is geared toward internal threat compared to peer to peer conflict, there is very small Division level units (only three Kostrad infantry Division and along with three equivalent Pasmar units).

My biggest concern is with the small army units tbh

I mean even some guys here think a BATTALION (small one even of 300-600 dudes) is considered "very big unit". It is no surprise if official grunts would think the same.

Whoever came up with the idea of "small force" ought to be smacked (looking at you murdani). Yes these dudes can imprison peasant and smack them with selang efficiently with their small size, hence they are organized into Kodam down into Koramil level. Make sense if the enemy is local peasant, as 'firepower" is irrelevant in comparison to "presence". But in real military battle against peer enemy? this arrangement is inclined to be "useless" if not "harmful"

These TNI skeletons has to eat their ego. They are so stupid omg, just because Murdani said ABC doesn't mean it has to be EXACTLY ABC forever, military has to adapt and evolve. Murdani say DPM has to be standard for all TNI, now they do exactly as he told... and refused to change this outdated mf after 30+ years! He said "small force", they exactly uphold this small force doctrine, lagging in term of mass mobilization let alone engaging in large scale battle.

They don't want to erase Koramil because it will eat up their influence and the police will fill up the space and get all the delicious money all for themselves *kaching kaching*. Hence why you can easily found TNI vs Police units used to duel and guard some plot of lands by businessman. And yes, the police actually also don't want TNI AD to erase their small units because they served as the necessary enemy of police (hence why police got the job in the first place). Of course for police it's not a total lost, but it certainly will reduce personal income for the higher-ups. And for TNI AD it's a huge lost.

Eventually we have to abolish all units below Battalion/ Kodim level.

Yes logically speaking this will grant the police monopoly level influence in shady dealings, angering some guys in the army out of jealousy, but neither do the army nor the police are supposed to do any of that sht.

But we cannot maintain this mafia-like behavior any longer. Our country is messed up for allowing this improper behavior for so long. Something is really really wrong with our history.

We need drastic measures. I'm afraid that it takes a war to slap reality and common sense into these corrupt idiots. We have to radically reform Akmil and Akpol, remove all 'pembangunan' nonsense from their curriculum and focus only on warfighting. Military job is to fight war primarily, and to aspire to become gubernur or komisaris, or any strategic civilian job should never be in the mind of any military men. Roots out unprofessional behavior and dealings from uniformed life, they only have to take adequate salary from the state and nothing other than official salary, period.

Our government is so #^@#$#@ idiotic by insisting that civil servants and officers has to find other source of income as to not burden 'anggaran' and to be 'self sufficient' (yet another Kemenkeu shenanigans). But this is completely against Max Weber's theory on government, which bureaucrats ought to not get income other than what the state gives them, otherwise they will be unprofessional, as being demonstrated by our officers with their dishonorable mafia business.
