Kan dah pecah kongsi.
Uuh, you know Dahana and Iran seems have anything to do with each other on the surface, but that garuda missile program says otherwise.

I read once that we're acquiring QW-19 Manpads. I hope they buy them in the thousands.

Also unpopular opinion = we should stock 23mm gun from China (possibly in the hundreds), useful against loitering munitions and low flying cruise missile. Ammo could be sourced from ex-WarPac country like Bulgaria, Poland.

I would prefer 35mm gun, but they're much more expensive than these Zu-23 copycat. And we have multiple cities with >1 Million population scattered all around the country.

I don't think any of our branches willing to bought 23 mm ZSU from China after what happened during field training in Natuna back then which resulted in casualties of several operator.

If any of such need arises, they would procure 23 mm gun either from Poland or Bulgaria. Heck even triple gun from Yugoslavia perform much better than they do

I don't think it will be much effective if the sensor are mainly relying on eyeballs mk.1, should chose skyshield instead although its more expensive.

I'm aware, but it tickles me with that kind of thinking that exists when a single incident ended up with total boycott . I don't see for example the air force stop using and wanting F-16 just because a few of them had crashed years prior.

I would prefer Zu-23 from China, Poland, Bulgaria or even Iran (if they produce them) and then raise up multiple more Arhanud battallion especially to protect cities with >= 1 Mil pop. Indonesian cities are notoriously thinly defended from air attacks.

We could opt for OEM equipped modernized Zu-23 like the Plica system or even partner with local industry like Respati to modernize them.
