A little bit Apache missiles

Source cited from:
Kiziah, Rex. (2000). Assessment of the Emerging Biocruise Threat. 76.

I think this paper was talking about the version that was sold to UAE called Black Shahine (basically SCALP-EG).

We've yet to know if the ones sold to Qatar is the same.

Some quotes:

- "US officials are angry that France is prepared to breach the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) and sell an extended-range version of the Apache stand-off missile to the United Arab Emirates (UAE)."

- "In European hands, the SCALP-EG missile on which Black Shahine is based is claimed to have a rangeof 400km with a 400kg unitary high explosive warhead."

- "MTCR guidelines were updated in 2002 to standardize how the range of cruise missiles is calculated after France and the U.K. sold a Storm Shadow (Black Shaheen) cruise missile to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). France and the UK claimed that the missile sale was in compliance with the MTCR, as its range was less than 300 km calculated at sea level. The U.S. calculated the missile’s range at altitude to be over 400 km, and thus considered its sale a violation."

The ones being sold to Qatar was rumoured to be Apache, sadly the website cited (CAAT) cant be access anymore, the only thing left is a discussion from airspace forum.

F15J umurnya masih panjang kah?

I expect they would go to Mangkunegaran and recently peaceful (from family problem) Kasunanan Surakarta also. Daerah kidul (means selatan or south which for Central Javanese refers to Solo and Jogja) is a must if talking about Javanese Monarchies.

Btw, Mangkunegaran is/was quite influential in Indonesian politics, at least the family members. Soedjatmoko of PSI and his sister that also the wife of Sutan Sjahrir were the examples, and also Bu Tien Soeharto, etc etc

Mangkunegaran IV is also one of my personal favorite tokoh, but I not gonna consider the feudal side of it as one, just his policies.

Yes, this is more confirming that the one that Qatar has is the 140km Apache.

The paper suggested that Apache has > 300km range, which is not true. The one that got US complaining was SCALP-EG which is the further development of the original 140km Apache.

TEMPO.CO, Orlando, U.S. - The success of SATRIA-1 becomes an important factor in determining the continuation of other satellites owned by the Indonesian government, stated the Ministry of Communication and Informatics' official, Wayan Toni Supriyanto.

"There will be other satellites, but that is very dependent on the success of SATRIA-1," he noted during a press conference on the preparation to launch SATRIA-1 on Friday, June 16, 2023.

The Republic of Indonesia Satellite-1, or SATRIA-1, is the first multifunction satellite owned by the Indonesian government.

Hence, the satellite's launch, scheduled to take place at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, the US, on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. local time, is expected to be successful and not encounter challenges.

If the launch is successful, then at the end of 2023, SATRIA-1's testing can commence, and in the event of no problems being encountered, it can start operating in 2024.

The monitoring of SATRIA's internet service quality will be conducted at the Control Directorate at the ministry.

SATRIA-1 has been built by the government since 2019 to provide equal internet access in public facilities, specifically in the disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions.

According to the ministry's latest study in 2023, the 150-Gbps capacity SATRIA-1 will provide expanded broadband coverage to 50 thousand public facility points in 3T regions connected to the internet.

The internet speed in each of these points reached 4 Mbps, which is four folds higher than the previous projected speed of only 1 Mbps for every point in 2018.

In addition to SATRIA-1, the ministry will launch Hot Backup Satellite (HBS) in the third quarter of 2023.

Hear ministry of defense got some function base within this Satellite capability to enhance their networking capability
