Trump decided not to launch U.S. strikes on the Houthis in Yemen, reversing course after the Pentagon had already prepared for the operation.

After Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged him to intervene, Trump ordered the Pentagon to prepare airstrikes. But by Sunday, he changed his mind again.

Most of Trump’s inner circle was deeply skeptical or outright opposed to joining Saudi Arabia’s fight against the Houthis, particularly because of the strains already facing the U.S. military in the war with Iran.

The strikes were close to beginning, with target lists approved and bombs being loaded onto U.S. warplanes when Trump pulled back.

Pakistan has troops stationed in Saudi Arabia but for "defensive " purposes.

This is how I see it.

Before the mecca pact became official the isrealis were openly stating how the shia axis has been dealt with and a new more dangerous axis was being formed that needed to be dealt with, naming the Sunni axis. So obviously isreal knew about the discussions going on between Turkiye, Saudi and Pakistan and others.

The houthis despite being an "enemy" of isreal/america, never had 1% of american/isreali airpower deployed against them. Its been clear to me for a long time that in the same way the iranian sectarian forces are kept alive as counter balance to sunni forces, the houthis were also being kept alive for a purpose.

So the Mecca Pact is formed, something that has the potential in the long term to change everything regionally. In this pact, who this weak link militarily, it is saudi. And just like clockwork the houthis are unleashed on the saudis.

Whats happening isnt about saudi arabia, its about undermining the mecca pact before the ink is even dry.

So in essence a trap has been laid for Turkiye primarily. If Turkiye does nothing potentially the mecca pact is dead in the water, if Turkiye gets involved then potentially she will be pulled into the wider war, not just with the houthis but with the iranian frauds themselves.

So this is how i see it, Turkiye has to get involved. But she has to get involved to protect Saudi territorial integrity, but not to get too involved thats shes dragged into a wider conflct and they play the same game on us that they played on us in syria.

As for the comment about houthi missiles raining over istanbul, they do that and its suicide not only for them but also for iran. Because such an event would trigger a total war reaction from Turkiye and these shia clown shows, don't want to f'k with that. These frauds should focus on isreal instead of constantly killing Muslims. infact when you watch these iranian sectarian forces they spend all their time denouncing isreal but do all their fighting against Muslim states. You cannot have peace without fighting the wars. If you allow the saudis to get ruined by some shitty iranian backed and probably indirectly isreali backed forces, no one will take such a thing moving forward seriously.

Send Turkish military men to organise the saudis and direct their actions. We don't need to send thousands of troops, just send enough to take over direction and control of the saudi military. Materially speaking and numbers wise the saudis have everything they need.

Wouldn't it make sense to accept another nation into the mecca pact, to provide forces in exchange for whatever the heck other members can offer?


Pakistan and Turkey want to for good reasons. In such cases, a fourth member with a military to export could step in.

Maybe one with geopolitical potential - I suggest Algeria. Big military, high military expenditure.

They could use some profits through exporting, while hardening their stance against the UAE. At the same time, they have lots of natural gas, as far as geopolitical weight is concerned

The way I see it, Pakistan or Turkey going after the Houthis to help Saudi Arabia is not a great idea.

First off, the Houthis genuinely can mess with the Red Sea and they've got some serious ballistic missile capability (even the US hasn't come out ahead in its exchanges with them and has even lost a few aircraft, which is exactly why they're being so cautious).

Second, if I've got this right, Saudi Arabia was the one who tore up the ceasefire deal with the Houthis first — they can't sign a defense pact and then go on the offensive against a third country and expect the other signatories to come help them out.

That said, the Houthis' impact on oil shipping lanes, and presumably Saudi Arabia's own influence, definitely hit Pakistan too, so I don't think Pakistan is completely without reason to join the relevant military operations (though it doesn't exactly look like the best option). No idea whether Turkey is getting hit the same way.

It depends how you see this, if its about saudi arabia then yeah it probably makes no sense. But if its about the Mecca pact, the only serious idea in a long time that has the long term potential to change the entire landscape of the middle east, then it makes sense to support Saudi Arabia.

But right now this houthi onslaught to me looks like another isreali polt.

Pakistan has already have problems with Iran , that's why Iran and India are ( used to be ) allies.

IMO Pakistan will increase presence of troops in KSA.

Yemen is most crowded nation in Gulf, 40 million population. KSA is really lack of troops.

Türkiye can do there something similar to Libya. Legitimate Yemen forces are above hundred thousand. They just need to organized and coordinated. Seeing Türkiye involved (we can do this decently) and some though action, some tribes on Houthis side will change sides. Along the way more fighters can be recruited. At the same time Houthi leadership should be enticed to integrate. We may end up there having bases in Aden and Mocha. This will be a killer. To repeat: if we are not willing to accept any losses, then we should just shut up.
