Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh to Muslim
& Good day to Other

Very apt. One narrative says -

  • Pakistan failing, failed state.
  • About to cave in because of it's own contradictions
  • Can't even guard it's nuke assets.
  • Is a international begger

but then in the same space claim that -

  • Pakistan has defeated the most lethal military machine in history USA/NATO supported by most of the Afghan population and ANA
  • All done by ISI operating out of a small office in Islamabad that would not even at par with a local municipal office in UK
  • With budget of few $ millions.
If this is true ISI and Pakistan are worthy of a superpower and ISI Chief Lt. Gen Hameed is a military genius. If only !!!

Ps. ISI is a typical Pakistani bureaucractic organization mostly full of pen pushers and army officers on secondment. It is important to understand all it's military staff are on temp posting. They are seconded and then turf out back to their units after serving some time. The permanent cadre are all civilian staff mostly of mediocre standard. ISI was set up by a British Army officer back in 1949 and still runs on the same template. It's peformance is reasonable but nothing like Mossad etc. But our detractors make it sound like some dreaded world shaking evil organization.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The Taliban ambushed and killed the director of Afghanistan’s government media center on Friday in the capital, Kabul, the latest killing of a government official just days after an assassination attempt on the country’s acting defense minister.
The slaying comes amid significant Taliban advances. In a major but symbolic victory, the Taliban on Friday appeared to have taken their first provincial capital — the city of Zaranj in southern Nimroz province. The government, however, claimed there was still fierce fighting around key infrastructure in the city and that Zaranj had not fallen.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told The Associated Press that the insurgents killed Dawa Khan Menapal, the chief of the Afghan government’s press operations for local and foreign media. He had previously been a deputy spokesman for Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
