again in reference to my post #5121 , #5124, #5366

Don't tell me ISIS-K just popped out of nowhere, their ranks are actually drawn from the ranks of Taliban, TTP and IMU. They are indeed locals.

So yes, the possibility of a continued civil war in Afghanistan is a strong possibility. Especially among the hardliners in Taliban and the moderates. Especially disagreement over the Taliban envoy and officials remarks about Uyghurs, Shia and leaving Al-Qaeda.

ISIS-K was founded by former members of the Pakistani Taliban, Afghan Taliban and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan. Over time, though, the group has poached militants from various other groups. One of the group's greatest strengths is its ability to leverage the local expertise of these fighters and commanders. ISIS-K first started to consolidate territory in the southern districts of Nangarhar province, which sits on Afghanistan's northeast border with Pakistan and is the site of al-Qaida's former stronghold in the Tora Bora area.

If the Taliban focus their brutality on IS-K members then IS-K will be defeated in a few weeks. However, if the Taliban are engaged in some sort of civil war then it will give space for IS-K to grow.

Personally I think China did the attack, given the Chinese doctrine.

The problem is the Taliban are 4th generation, a collection of gangs and tribes, which group together to drive the foreign invaders out, they aren't single being, but an oversoul of Afghanistan.

ask if the Taliban could roll over ISIS-K in a conventional battlespace, the answer is Absoloutely.

but does that translate to the end of the war ??? not so much.

So in the coming days, it will be a 3 front war between:

  1. Panjshir resistance V Taliban
  2. Taliban V ISKP
  3. ISKP V Panjshir resistance.
in short, another round of war that started waaaayyyyyy back in 1979

People forget that takfiris usually turn their attention towards Muslims all the time.

Not to say they dont kill Non Muslims they usually target Muslims because they believe we are apostates or heretics.

Honestly only way to deal with Takrifis is to be brutal and ruthless against them.

Thats the only language they understand.

that is why I'm always a skeptic of reports that Taliban recent victory will trasnlate to long lasting peace consider that Takfir against shia is embeded in Jihadism.
