From what I see it has the same amount of brackets (3) the same clamp shape and overall the same size.
You know what.. you're probably right. The latching mecahnism is different on sungur, my bad. From what I see it has the same amount of brackets (3) the same clamp shape and overall the same size.
It looks significantly longer than a Cirit launcher to my eye but maybe it's because of the angle the photo was taken.
It's best to be quiet about BMs. You don't want the US to hunt down your partners. Pakistan also says it works alone on BMs, but wouldn't mind taking help, regardless of where it comes from and how.Stating that Roketsan continues its Ballistic Missile development studies, PROF DEMİR stated that they do not intend to cooperate with any other country in this field and said: “We do not intend to cooperate with any country in the field of ballistic missiles, we think that our capabilities are sufficient. It continues its D, we also have road maps on that issue. We do not expect any country to support us in this regard. "

I am quite skeptical in naval application especially for engagement of the surface threats, the missile will be better suited with an IIR sensor or other options which doesn't rely on an UAV, since most of naval systems (if intended to target surface threats) has layered aerial defense capability which possibly can shoot the laser targeting drone.İsmail Demir "Roketsan TRLG-230 missile can be used both on land and sea platforms"
What if the intended targets aren't Naval Vessels with layered defense ? Would TRG230 be able to hit FAC... I don't think that would work since a FAC would be on the move all the time.I am quite skeptical in naval application especially for engagement of the surface threats, the missile will be better suited with an IIR sensor or other options which doesn't rely on an UAV, since most of naval systems (if intended to target surface threats) has layered aerial defense capability which possibly can shoot the laser targeting drone.
Laser targeting is well suited for engaging anti-symmetric threat.
Laser guided missile can engage moving targets i suppose, and i expected this missile to have dual purpose, to engage naval and land assets -docks-bases. And again from what i have seen these systems are considered for Landing vessels to provide additional fire support prior to the landing. What if the intended targets aren't Naval Vessels with layered defense ? However stationary targets, which would mean ground targets on islands or such would be a target.
Theoretically we could have FAC with TRG-230 and VTOL UAV to do the targetting or something along those lines.

Concerning ATMACA we know that there will be land based varient and submarine launched varient even a land to land varient of ATMACA for Land forces . However, I am just a bit curios why we havent heard anything about an Air Launced ATMACA in an anti ship role yet. (eventhough there are rumors about a ramjet missile either as an A2A? or and antiship Missile?) Ok I know we have SOM but still ATMACA is a dedicated anti ship missile! is it only me or an Air launched ATMACA varient also makes sense to you guys too?
Read up. SOM-J with LO properties will fill that role also.SSB DEMİR: ATMACA air launched variants is in the works. MRASHM probably.

Ok may be it is my fault so let me rephrase it . logic dictates that we should not expect SOM j to be our sole air launched anti ship missile
