Pantsir? Does anyone ever keep it on the table after all those?Pantsir
Can't speak for biho but korkut has itWell, both Korkut and Biho designers should also recognize this challenge so they, in theory, should have incorporated similar munition technology as the one Rheinmetall has.
Crotale-NG, in my opinion using an autocannon to intercept low flying drone, missile, fighter, chopper right now the chance of bullet hitting it are rather pretty slim, unless they're using state of the art fuzed munition such as those 35mm AHEAD.
'Marines make do"After getting those Frigates or while waiting them online, the next procurement would be focused to fill Marine Corps needs (armor, artillery, spaa, manpads, SBAShM), ASW Helicopters and Aircraft, follow on OPV/Corvettes/ light Frigate whatever you name it lah, and some support ships units.
Yeah like A-220M'Marines make do"
Oh yeah, thanks. Can't speak for biho but korkut has it
ACV-30 hull made by FNSS so pindad can be contracted to produce it like kaplan mt. Choice is easy no need to look further...
Maybe they want to use Pantsir to do training together with Bayraktar if our MoD buy those uavPantsir? Does anyone ever keep it on the table after all those?
drones and munitions are getting smaller and biho has no airburst like atom and ahead. You will shoot more missiles than shells and and it becomes very expensive. No such thing with airbust munition.Oh yeah, thanks.
If it's up to me, I will seriously consider your point about Pindad's involvement. However, while it says in Wikipedia that Korkut also has a secondary weapon in the form of SHORAD, but I haven't seen one. Korean Biho, on the other hand, has Chiron SHORAD incorporated in the design.
This might be important enough for the Indonesian marine corps especially since we already have Chiron missiles operated by the Indonesian Air Force.
That will be really good, and order lots of it not only just for the marines but the army and air force.Indonesia is big country with large economy. No need for buy from shelf while you can coproduce system
This will soon to come, however TAF has known to split munitions (per munition per platform) as much as possible for unknown reasons, they might have recognized the threat of drones and it is expected to see such designs in this or next year.SHORAD
Why need to train once more while Pantsir has proven itself in three campaigns with multiple operators ( including Russian with non-export version) , they better to train themselves to target sea-platforms from UAVs and pass the information to the FACs and Coastal defenses with ease.Maybe they want to use Pantsir to do training together with Bayraktar if our MoD buy those uav

Not that I'm against your point here, but I still think that having the anti-air missiles incorporated in a gun-based self-propelled anti-aircraft system will provide more flexibility.drones and munitions are getting smaller and biho has no airburst like atom and ahead. Good to know. Considering the Kaplan MT joint project between Turkey and Indonesia, as well as the ATOM airburst ammunition in Korkut, the inclusion of SHORAD as the secondary armament in the system should be more than enough to 'level the field' against similar platform from other makers. This will soon to come, however TAF has known to split munitions (per munition per platform) as much as possible for unknown reasons, they might have recognized the threat of drones and it is expected to see such designs in this or next year.
Well yeah, but as @Anmdt has just explained, the next version of Korkut will incorporate SHORAD in the design. It's probably not as secondary weapon, but the same hull (ACV-30) can be used for Hisar SAM as well. Hisar SR variant has 15km range.

If I'm allowed to dream, it will be even more interesting if, let's say, the "Korkut NG" can also be equipped with CIRIT missiles by simply replacing its SHORAD modules with CIRIT launchers to use against ground targets from a longer distance.
Well yeah, but as @Anmdt has just explained, the next version of Korkut will incorporate SHORAD in the design.
Ideally, we should also be able to deploy mobile medium range SAM to support ground troops on the move, either as part of the Army, Marine Corps, or both.
Not sure about that. But in case there's a requirement for it, which one of those two 'candidates' is suitable? Is there any requirement for it to be amphibious?
So it will likely be only gun-based SPAA then? It's fine though since anti-air missile support can be in the form of infantry shoulder-launched SHORAD.Well Marine new paradigm in combat theater doesn't need ground based mobile SAM to protect their armored column during Amphibious assault, as the Navy would provided them with Ship based system protection in the first place.

I mean, as a targetWhy need to train
If we are talking about offensive ops on a very big land masses, our marines will only stick close to the shore lines and let the army to push deeper inland? Or will they work together with the army units.Well Marine new paradigm in combat theater doesn't need ground based mobile SAM to protect their armored column during Amphibious assault, as the Navy would provided them with Ship based system protection in the first place.
Oh I know, I know. You all be surprised with what they choose
