This is not the real piece, folks. They just made a mockup. If it was a real piece then they would have shown everyone that we have produced the greatest piece of MI probably
The 1:1 part is probably a mock-up, while the smaller almost metallic looking piece seems to be produced for tests. Either way... I'm glad it exists.

Looks like this bulkhead confirms that TFX will have a tandem weapons bay, much like SU-57.

Weapons Bay Configuration

Will there be bomb bay for the first variant? Koreans did not add to KF-21 because of the additional technical complexities but left space for it to add in the future variants. We could see similar approach with MMU, especially considering the time frame.

Unfortunately, tandem information is not a correct guess. At Saha Expo, the Tai stand officer stated that the secret weapon compartment will be side by side in his answer to my question on this aspect via the tfx promotional video.

Doğru olan aşağıdaki gibi.

Side by side configuration does not tie in with bulkhead shown.

SSB is going to release documents for a tender for TFX engine as part of the second phase of the TFX engine program.
There will be TR motor, Kale and TEI forwarding their tenders.
A developed version F110GE132 with a 36000lbf thrust is being thought of.

What is truly nice regarding this tender is that regardless of who wins the tender, all companies involved will work together for the engine development; thus, instead of having 1 company being able to develop super jet engines, you will have 3 companies capable of doing so; i-e, Kale, TEI, and TR Motor
A truly decent move by Ismail Demir and SSB

Not if Kale goes with RR, TEI works with GE and TRMotor doubles up with Motor Sich.
I don’t understand the separate involvement of TR Motor. They do not have production capability. They seem to have teamed up with Ivchenko Progress recently, who too don’t have production capability. That is why I mentioned Motor Sich.

TFX will have Laser Weapon System on-board to neutralise missiles that pose a threat to the aircraft :)

We can already see MMU will have MUMT-X capability, but how about Hurjet? If it is an advaned jet trainer then it should also have MUMT-X on both trainer version to train the pilots; and on combat version to enhance capabilities.

Really curious why they choose to use two different PLM Systems one from Siemens for Ataks and the other from Dassault for the TF-X.

$100 mio unit cost, while F-35 cost ~ € 80 mio.
Can Turkey export, F-35?
Does the money stay in the country with the F-35?
Can TuAF upgrade it whenever it‘s needed?
Does our technological capabilities grow?
Do we have full independence with the F-35?

I would choose a more expensive TFX any day over the F-35 and all the other free surprises it comes with for example possible embargoes for spareparts, tool used as political pressure, spying…

Not really
As long as Turkey get ToT and Co-production of S400s, then the deal is obviousky better. However, if not, then the F35 as a deal is better
The only thing that made me happy about foresaking the F35 deal is that the TSK was planning to replace all of its fleet with F35. If such a scenario did happen, then the US would have had Turkish Airforce by the balls
