The US did not deliver the paid F35s that we have been partners since 2001.

By removing Turkiye from the F35 program, they prevented the billion-dollar business share of Turkish companies.

After the S400 decision, CATSAA sanctions were imposed on Turkey. The strange thing is, the same law could not be applied to India, which bought the same system.

The US did not listen Turkey's security concern and cooperated with the PKK terroristsin Syria. While leaving Manbij, they handed over these lands to Russia.

The planes of the Russian air force, which carried out an operation against the Turkmens near our border, were shot down by the Turkish war planes after they continued their violations despite being warned many times. After this incident, we heard nothing but faint voices from our Western "allies" who couldn't have courage to make the eyes contact with Putin in these times. Some even talked about kicking Turkey out of NATO.

In Libya, the Western alliance led by France stood by Russia and carried out operations to cut off Turkey's logistical support to the legal government.

When we sold weapons to Ukraine, voices rose from Germany.

In order to liberate the region recognized as the occupied territory by the UN in the Karabakh war, Turkey qided with Azerbaijan but many NATO countries' companies imposed an arm embargo on Turkey.

Who need an enemy if you have such allies?

After these experiences, the only way Turkey should follow must be the way of its own interests.

YPG/PKK more valuable for US than Ukraine. Let that sink in

They did not provide Ukraine with the fraction of the support they did to PKK.

I just finished the video, thanks for sharing. What they are saying?

Turkey is not the old weak Turkey US used to deal with, TR is a bigger class of power for some time and has different needs and aspirations. US should accept this reality and treat TR accordingly.

TR and US have two problems they can't solve, FETÖ and SDF. In order to fix relations, TR and US should agree to disagree in those matters and leave them behind, and focus on the matters they can cooperate with. Like Turkey's area of influnce where Turkey counters Russian-Iran-China influence and work together. Also US should upgrade Turkish F-16s.

Now my personal opinion. FETÖ attempted a coup in TR and this organization is protected by US. US also funded, trained, weaponized Syrian branch of PKK, created a 100k army right next to TR. US should at least give one of those organizations to Turkey to show its goodwill, then we can consider. If not, they can fuck off.

No. Turkey and US are on divergent paths, the US is pulling back from the world and the middle east/eastern Europe, Turkey is poised to move into that space in conflict with France/Iran/Russia. This will be Turkey's fight alone, it will get no help from the Americans.

Up until the Russians became involved, Turkey and Israel and West were selling many arms to Ukraine, which the Russians have now taken out.
Turkey is NATO and NATO are against Russia in Ukraine, however Turkey has separate bilateral interests with Russia and growing cooperations with Iran, China and elsewehere. Turkey needs cheap gas, its economy is in deep trouble, Lira has crashed, Erdogan has over-extended himself in too many conflicts. He has to be very careful now because you know when you try to play everybody you might end up being played by everybody too. I don't think Turkey and the US are on the same long term path, US and UK never care about anybody they just use every country as a pawn piece and Turkey will be encouraged to do stuff that the West won't want to do, but as I said, its a balancing act because in this very interconnected global situation, everything is dependent on everything else. Turkey should not rely on NATO, NATO just uses countries to advance American imperialism and Turkey will always be a pawn piece in that game.

"NATO needs Turkey much more than Turkey needs NATO" I heard this once and its a good saying

Independent true, but at one points you have to realize that Russia present a larger long term threat to Turkey than the US or West. When it comes to stopping Russia's interest US and Turkey must cooperate.

It's be rather stupid for any countries to still trust US after Afghanistan and Ukraine.
Yes, there are so many signs....

I like to look at the situation from a big picture.

"Eurasia" - everything from far east to far west has all the resouces - natural and human, to become the most powerful bloc in the world. And believe it or not most Western strategists still think like Mackinder - he who controls Eurasia controls the world. Well, in this age, there is no "one country" that can do that, instead I think a Eurasian aliance can work together to tap their resources to prosper and secure its future stability.

China will take care of the eastern flank including the Taiwan issue, Russia and Turkey will take care of the Western flanks and Iran will take care of the South western flank. Everybody in between will cooperate and manage trade. SCO, BRI etc.......and on the outskirts of Eurasia you have the Western pirate sea powers like the US and UK who want to cause trouble. They need to be made to understand that their era is coming to an end, and stop trying to weaken Eurasia. Right now Putin is teaching them one such lesson. The world can benefit alot if Eurasia forms a close bloc and develops places like the MIddle East to prevent radicalism and wars. When people prosper, chances of war is less. What West wants is wars to keep people down and un-developed. Anyway, that's my opnion.

There is no denying that the West will make Turkey a second class ally, just like how the US and Australia treated Indonesia as 2nd class ally.

But no shit, the west are by far a better choice than the Chinese or Russians.

In NATO at least you could express your grievance and have your voice heard. Try raising your voice as an independent country infront of Putin on Jinping and see what happens next.

The west treated its allies with more respect than Russia even though they don't always agree on things.

Do you mean that quisling like Stoltenberg? He like Ursula von Leyden and most German politicians are CIA puppets....isn't it obvious? The EU and NATO always repeat American talking points while putting European interests in second place. Look at the German guy, he wants to shoot himself in the foot by sabotaging NS2 pipeline. While shutting down nuclear reactors in Germany and relying only on spot markets for gas pricing (very dumb)...Hahaha this is a joke of "leadership". They do not care about Europeans, we are nothing but pawns to them. They report to America first. Europe is a conquered continent, its time we free ourselves and build better relations with the East. Why are US troops in Germany since WWII? Why is NATO still around if Warsaw Pact is dead?
