Erdogan says NATO should have been more decisive on Ukraine “European countries are only giving advices to Ukraine. And it doesn’t serve anyone. NATO summit shouldn’t become a festival for condemnations or more advices. “

Erdogan says EU and NATO failed to act on Ukraine crisis, says they are only giving advice.

He makes it sound like the War is over and that Turkey is not part of NATO. As if he is setting precedent for closer relations with Russia and the East......
He is right... Turkey faced Russia on so many battlefields the recent years - furthermore; turkey faced Russia the most in its history - any war accrued til now, Russia was part of the enemy - even if it was just by supplying the enemy ... but what did Europe do? other than pushing Ukraine into a devastating war?
Yall forgot about Bosnia, the UN, and what they did... they watched a genocide, while dutch soldiers got caught laughing on camera... who are you fooling? why do you Europeans cant stay objective.. you join boards to spread propaganda and leave the moment no one buys the bullshit.... it's the same - every single time, on every geopolitical board i have seen so far...
Maybe you aren't even an English man - but then you should show flag -

This is a British operation. You cannot trust that government, my friends. If you don't see it now, you don't want to see it later.

The US won't suddenly stop funding the YPG/PKK or lift CAATSA sanctions without Turkey comprimising first.

If Turkey can show that it can be trusted and take the responsibility of directly helping Ukraine then it will become clear to all European nations and all members of NATO that Turkey is a key ally that deserves to return to the F-35 programme, the removal of sanctions and perhaps even greater trade (updating the FTA).

If the rapprochement with Israel works, I wouldn't be surprised to see Israel promoting the gas project with cooperation with Turkey. Especially at a time where Europe relies so heavily on Russian gas - I am sure diversification will be welcomed.

Further, if Turkey substantially helped, Ukraine may have allowed some form Turkish military or naval base to perhaps deter Russia from further aggression.
Some western countries wish to get turkey and russia to face each other directly ... I think turkey is not too naive to involve directly in a such war with .. while the western are watching the game on the television .. turkey gave help and support diplomatically and technologically to ukraine even more than most of european .. but european are used to use other nations to fight for them and gather the gains at the end .. they have to move their asses and defend their continent .. otherwise their era mostly came to an end

What are you talking about?

You are naive if you don't think Turkey was in close contact with Russia during Libya, Karabakh and most definitely in Syria. Turkey is possibly the only member of NATO that actively patrols with Russian troops along its own border.....

Its all tit for tat and its sad that the Turkish government doesn't see that Russia is playing them....

1) Rusting S400s that will never be activated, especially if a new government comes to power.
2) Kicked out of the F-35 programme, losing out on at least $20 billion in revenue + experience with producing 5th gen fighters (that could have helped Turkey produce TFX at a faster rate)
3) No F35s or even upgraded F16s
4) Anyone who backs the decisions made will say "we are making are own indigenous systems, we do not need the West". Well now if Ukraine falls to Russia all projects will be delayed and comapnies will have to turn to Western alternatives, thus a full circle of once again relying on Western partners.

And to be clear, Western sanctions impact Russia more than selling 24 Bayraktars......

Issue is, current government. Failed to properly balance. Current policy for Russia have been a failure like other countries in the region. Energy independence, economic reliance etc. Did not take Russian threat seriously in Syria, causing the expected Idlib attack. Only to try to hide it with censoring media.

Then there is opposition which have pro-Western stance. Fails to balance again by getting close to west.

It is never ending cycle which the nationalist suffer. Inferiority complex is real. Trying to constantly to side the country shows public undermining capabilities of Turkiye.

The British and Amerikan I don't think can coexist with their energy. This is not the Christos way, the Buddha way, not the Muhammad way, not the Tao way, not the Hindustani way and not the Persian way. You wish everyone to have their inner spirit develop first before going around neighborsz. Some cultures last thousands of years, others just hundreds, and some just a few decade

U know Bulgar Slavic and Arabic are very similar, we just have to unify and be Akbar again

On the orders of pro-Kremlin puppet leader Kadyrov, thousands of Chechen mercenaries will be sent to Ukraine. It is estimated that the total number of pro-Kremlin Chechens who will fight in Ukraine will be around fifteen thousand. (There are already pro-Kadyrov Chechen military units in Ukraine)

100%

A lot of people of this forum see Turkey as some sort of guardian against Russian aggression.

In reality, Russia has played the current government; Turkey has been encircled from the North , to the East in the Caucasus and in the South where even Russian troops are patrolling the Turkish border.

regarding Romanian vessel:

"The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports:
The Millennium Spirit bunker was lined up by a Russian ship 12 miles from the port of Yuzhny.
Circumstances are being clarified, there is no connection with the ship."

And this Zelensky, he is finished. Nobody can negotiate with him. Who right now would mind if he is gone? I think everybody

Ukraine will be split for better for all. Comon sense way has to prevail, natural fortifications make sense...they are probably the best way to mark boundaries. This is my theory at least.

But in the end you know we have to move beyond nation-state and all this geopolitics stuff. It will have to move to something much deeper in meaning and that cannot allow anybody to do very stupid things that are danger to everyone

It is not our job guard EU. Never should be.

Conflict in Ukraine, will change power balance against us. For the worst. Increased Russian presence in Black Sea. EU/US trying to use Turkey as a guard while bashing Turkey. Increased US presence which US can use to pressure Turkey. Russians will want to challenge Black Sea claims, Mediterranean expansion could result in heated situations.

We are natural adversary with Russians by geography. People actively denying this. which lack basic literature or have agenda. It benefits us to stay neutral as much as possible but we cannot in situations where our interests are in conflict. In the future, if Turkey gets bigger influence in the region or abroad. It is always going to be in conflict with Russia. It is not sustainable
