Two IL-76s, one reportedly full of around 100 VDV troops were downed. With the airspace as dangerous as it is, I'm guessing they're jumping out in areas which aren't optimal. They probably lack both air and ground-based fire support, and are being deployed in places which they are unfamiliar with... As a result they are easy targets for helicopters and drones, as well as ambushes by Ukrainian land forces.

Any info on the effectiveness of the (improvised) cage armor Russian tanks use to counter the TB2 and Javelin ATGMs?
It's not the first time they use it but if the Ukrainians are correct about having killed over 100 tanks I'd assume its pretty useless.
