In one sense, moving back the troops to base them in their own home provinces may proves beneficial for their respective regional defense, especially since they will surely know their own 'turf' better compared to, for example, a Jakartan who got himself based in Merauke. However, I still think that some rotations or "tour of duty" are still needed to spread the knowledge among some, if not all troops.

On the other hand, especially regarding the soldiers' welfare, I still feel that it's still too much to ask that each and every one of our grunts won't have to think that spending 1.7 million IDR is something akin to choose between feeding their family or letting them starve for some shiny new uniforms anymore. This is especially true if the whole of our military budget and its detailed allocations are still beyond reach of our anti-corruption commission.

Kinda Agree with @FPXAllen , even at direct hit at frontal plate of Leopard 2, 155 mm HE munition still give enough shockwave to decapacitate entire crew. hence, A-10 will done the job by penetrating upper plate which the weakest parts of tank.

speaking about armor loses is Ukraine soil, they totally forgot something about armor employment. Speed, infantry support, artillery barrage, even German at WW2 has aerial support to cover their infantry.
except have significant protection, slow moving tank/immobile tank is as good as target practice.

as considerations, except Leopard 2 RI, all Indonesian armor is a butter to 20 mm AP.
I understand what you were talking about now.

Our troops with Israeli 30 mm turret pandur can donthe same.

At first glance The footage looks like a game 😆 nor I can recognize the t 72. If it true that BTR4 capable to penetrate side or back or damage the turret ring, the T72 have hi probability to recover by 🇺🇦 farmer.
But, trust me you gonna leave what inside that BRM alone; BTR4 gunner give that paper armor overkill shot.

Israel turret ? I think its ok if the user consider to use both APFSDS & HE ammo, second thought i hope they start consider put spike on those turret.

For those who confuse these sensor found in Anoa as Laser Warning Receiver (LWR), it is in fact a device called Driver Vision Enhancer (DVE). Usually feature one or more optical sensor with either cooled/uncooled infrared camera to assist driver in low light/adverse weather and night driving condition.

Examples of DVE usage on PT. PINDAD product:

- None: Early Anoa (Anoa I) to Mid production of Anoa II, Early Komodo production.

- User improvisation: Literal CCTV on early production Anoa I.

- Mid until late production of Anoa II, mid production of Komodo and also Badak FSV: Using Thales RODVE/RODVE2 Remotely Operated Driver’s Vision Enhancer

there's a pretty ample space between the outer section and the main hull monocoque/unibody, definitely have a big potential to installed an anti HEAT/Shaped Charge modular armor.

As with the contract, yes. Unless there's some changes that I'm unaware of.
Also turret assembly of the first 10 hulls will be carried out in Indonesia. As part of ToT / Know-how transfer and work-load share of the first batch.
To be honest i was all hopeless about this project until few weeks ago. Glad to see it has been concluded.

Hopefully there will be next batch for that
The CEO of FNSS has told they are carrying out negotiations for the work-load share of the later batches.

Thanks for the info.

I was a bit puzzled when I saw the picture on Twitter, thinking that they might be 8 Kaplan/Harimau tanks that supposedly will be "built" by Pindad here.

Now I think it's clear now that all the tanks will be completed here, first by fitting the 10 hulls made by FNSS with turrets, and the rest will be constructed and fitted here.

Bold: Can't agree more. Hope to see that there will be further cooperations with Turkish defense companies in the future (of course, without the usual "mbulet" a.k.a messed up things that often happen in our side...).

Good to know!

Do you know who owns Kaplan MT intellectual property? Is it fully owned by FNSS or there's some Pindad part in it?
It is joint, i am not sure if both parties independent or dependent on each other for the sales to 3rd parties.

It's aluminum. Welded and milled.
