The Russians sent their soldiers to the front without food.

Clear they expected it all done within a week...maybe 2 tops.

Now the logistics problem will take effect on something so core as food too.

Ukrainians hold defender advantage in this key aspect as well. Rotate back to a kitchen in Kiev if needed.

Hope ukraine allies have planned and allocated for this support very well too....down to the details needed on distribution to the last grunt.

Ruski tactic Why you NEED FOOD?
putin circle ALREADY SAID IT
- WAR will take 72 hours and Ukraine will be ruski
- Ukraine people will welcome ruski with flowers and food
- ruski CAN GO and steal FOOD from LOCAL MARKETs
-ruski CAN KILL Ukraine citizens and take all thier belongins
- In worst CASE ruski should die 1-2 days anyway

So why bother?!
Guys STOP LOOKING FOR LOGIC . IT IS FACT keep understand it is FACT there are so many ruski savagers in power and they do NOT fucking care about logic or people

One has to wonder how big of an impact the recently pledged money to the Ukrainian defense effort will have. As a recap, here are some of the totals that have been pledged to Ukraine recently. You have to figure that the below figures must be able to buy them some nice toys to combat the Russians.

None of the below figures include the initial weapons that have already been sent to Ukraine.

USA: $1 billion in military aid + up to $3 billion worth of lethal aid that can be transfered to Ukraine from existing U.S. stockpiles.

EU: $1 billion in funding for military and humanitarian aid.

Canada: $650 million line of credit to the Ukrainian government, earmarked for defense spending.

France: $300 million worth of humanitarian aid and military supplies.

Britain: $500 million in loans + $100 million in government aid, to fund the Ukrainian war effort.

Australia: $70 million to purchase weapons, through NATO.

That's just a sampling of the warchest that Ukraine has at its disposal, on top of the gifted weapons and systems it has already received / continues to receive.

You have to think that immediate purchases that they require are...

- TB2 drones + MAM-L
- Switchblade Kamikazee drones
- Surveillance drones
- Stinger MANPADS
- Streakstreak MANPADS
- Javelin ATGM + missiles
- NLAW ATGM
- AT4 ATGM
- High end RPGs
- Mortars + mortar rounds
- Light + medium machine guns
- .50 caliber sniper rifles + ammo
- NVG's (they must own the night)
- Portable, secure comms.

The above does not fully solve the issue of the range advantage that Russia possesses with its weaponry, however, it makes this an extremely costly (for Russia), long, drawn out affair, IMO.

Not really
Putin planned for the Ukraine invasion to follow the same scenario as Crimea's invasion; i-e, a max of 2 to 3 days without any significant resistance. He actually planned his war based on the assumptions clearly based above. Thus, he got screwed now since he actually faced stiff resistance from Ukraine and had to go to the planning board again; however, a new plan takes time to develop and the war has already started. By the time a new plan has been developed, Putin would have lost a decent chunk of military equipment and soldiers
