Is it true there is a spare Slava class in the Ukraine?
You are talking about the missile cruiser "Ukraine".
According to wikipedia:

In 2017, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko decided to dismantle the equipment and sell the unfinished cruiser for scrap.

On January 29, 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to dismantle the weapons from the missile ship, with the subsequent sale or disposal of the ship.

The Harpoon may be outdated against the latest ships' self-defence systems, but Russian ships are far from that and would vulnerable to them. Especially the Moskva, the black sea fleet's flagship, would be vulnerable. Sinking the Moskva would be a big loss to Russia's already tattered image, and would also put an end to Russia's landing operations in the south of Ukraine.
You can all call me Admiral Era_shield from now on 😎

"Russia only sends old stuff to Ukraine, they have invested hundreds of billions on defence, they are keeping their best and new equipments for NATO!!!".

Who to tell them Russia is so much corrupt most of that money was probably stolen and ended up buying super yachts and mansions in southern France or in london. When they end up selling their soldier's MREs,you gotta imagine the level of corruption in the Russian army. :ROFLMAO:

Russian MoD claimed the fire was contained, explosions ceased and the crew was evacuated. The ship was being tugged to port. Meanwile the Lithuanian defense minister said the ship sank based on info provided by Romania and Turkey..

against;
To a missile quite similar to their own Kh-35 possibly in seeker as well,
To a missile that has not completed its development phase,
To a missile that hasn't been through a serial production phase,
To a missile that was possibly completed via hard efforts in bunkers and not in the factory's production line, after the broke out thus lacking the decent quality inspection.
Can our atmaca missiles do the same to French destroyers?I don't think we will be able hit powerful AAW ships like Horizon class or FREMM.

I think they have had a decent intelligent report on capabilities of the ship beforehand (from US and NATO sources, note TR also keeps an eye on the Black Sea via SIGINT / ELINT instruments and MPAs to search for the mines recently).

True, a radar used for surface detection are limited by the horizon. Max surface detection range vary from 40- 70 km max. I don't think the Ukrainian surface radar detect the Moskva at all.

the position of the ship are way above 100+km from Ukraine's shores

Radars too can't tell if what they're seeing is a bulk carrier or a warship, fortunately for the Ukrainians the Russian warship are operating in a known pattern.

add that to (possible) NATO intelligence sharing + Ukraine's own surveillance and the Ukrainians prolly could guess where the last known position of the Russian ship.

The Argentinians once use this trick to try and sink the British carriers operating near the Falklands combat zone,

On 30 May, two Super Étendards, one carrying Argentina's last remaining air-launched Exocet, accompanied by four A-4C Skyhawks each with two 500 lb (230 kg) bombs, took off to attack Invincible. Argentine intelligence had sought to determine the position of the carriers from analysis of aircraft flight routes from the task force to the islands.

But Royal navy ain't the Russian navy, and British Harrier pilots are ordered a strict EMCON and even stricter procedure to land (diving well below radar coverage to visually identifiy the whereabouts of the carriers)

watch here from 11:15 on how RN naval aviators operate and their technique to land without giving away positions.

Hence no RN carrriers sunk.

I don't want to be argumentative here but out of interest whome your country send any help? Besides a few other countries , it has been mostly that Western countries send help to Rohingya , was that hypocritical?
Guess we're going off-topic on this one.

I fail to see any relevance between a Red Cross truck full of money and Bangladesh helping any country or Western countries sending help to Rohingya. Looks like you drag out irrelevant topic to make an argument even though that doesn't make it a strong one.

So people lose their mind if Russian MEDEVAC vehicle carry ammo but if @Brace Yourself talks about Western red cross truck full of money, that upsets you?

I would like you to show me the stats on Rohingya's donation. How did you come to the conclusion that Western countries send "most help" to Rohingya? [only 34 percent ($366 million) of the required amount of $1 billion for 2021]. It's only few Western countries send help to Rohingya.

When Rohingyas were stranded in no man's land, when Bangladesh was reluctant to burden itself with more refugees in 2017 it was UN and the West who pressured us to take those refugees when we had no means to shelter them. (including some of our internal enemies)

Even before that the root of the problem was created by the British who promised them an autonomous region because of their loyalty in WW2 but didn't honor that promise. So these Western countries, the so called torch bearers of "humanity" are largely responsible for Rohingyas.

Just like that the aid West promised for the Rohingyas in 2017 already decreased after things cooled down. So if you think the West is helping us a lot then you're wrong. Like i said here before, like the Ukraine issue the West isn't sincere about the Rohingya issue, instead of working to repatriate them they manipulate these refugees to prolong their stay in BD. After 2017's crisis, their main target now is to sell weapon to BD using anti-China sentiment if you notice some threads in our sub-forum.

As a result now terrorist group started to infiltrate in the refugee camps. To avoid further off-topic I will leave the part about the damage Rohingyas are doing in BD as we already talked about it before in our sub-forums.

Aside from sheltering Pakistani and Burmese refugees for decades; for a small developing country, BD help other countries whenever it can within it's limited capability. We helped India during Covid-19, helped Nepal, Afghanistan, often helped Maldives with loan, military vehicles, vaccine, medical professionals, food, medicines, water, we sent warships to look for lost Malaysian plane, helped Kuwait in their war and to remove their mines, we're supporting Palestine since 1973, provided aid-medics during Yom Kippur War, many of our volunteers participated in their wars since 1948 and we're training their cadets in our military academy since 1980.

Last one we helped was Sri-Lanka. And we even helped and sacrificed for you. Apart from UN peacekeeping we also provide extra help to African nations and earn their respect and love in return.

So in attempt to be "argumentative", don't drag out irrelevant topic if you're ignorant about it. It's surprising to see a Bosnian defending/supporting the West so strongly here which practically supported the Serbs during Bosnian war and prolonged the Bosnian genocides.

Not yet sunk, but could be out of action for a very long time

It usually means there is no further hope to save a ship if captain has ordered to abandon her. A though and last decision (actually one before the last: sinking own ship to not hand it over) to make but it means the ship is gone. If there was a hope they were going to remain and fight with the fire and flooding, and try to sail her to a safe harbor.

An abandoned ship with no crew and ongoing fire will sink definitely, sooner or later. The tugs will not attempt to recover and tow a warship on fire carrying tons of explosives.

Ammunition exploded on the missile cruiser "Moscow". According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, due to a fire on the missile cruiser "Moscow", a detonation of ammunition occurred, the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet was seriously damaged. Now the ship is afloat, the fire has been extinguished, the explosions of ammunition have stopped. The missile cruiser "Moscow" is planned to be towed to the port

A video of the combat departure of a group of attack helicopters was published by the Russian Defense Ministry. The group consisting of the leading Mi-24 helicopter and the Mi-28N and Ka-52 wingmen performed tasks to support the ground group of troops. During the mission, a Buk missile of Ukraine was fired at the leading Mi-24 helicopter. The Mi-24 dodged the missiles and went to the side, the return fire of the Mi-28N and Ka-52 helicopters, the Ukrainian Buk air defense system was destroyed.

The West did not support the Serbs during the Bosnian Genocide. They just turned a blind eye

The Serbs were actually supported by Russia, China & some Arab countries who helped them with sanctions evasion.

The West & Bosnia are freinds now. UK right now is our MAJOR ally for example.
