The Air Force Research Laboratory partnered with the 780th Test Squadron of the 96th Test Wing and the 85th Test and Evaluation Squadron of the 53rd Wing to equip an F-15E Strike Eagle at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. with modified 2,000-pound GBU-31 Joint Direct Attack Munitions as part of the second test in the QUICKSINK Joint Capability Technology Demonstration. JDAM uses GPS and inertial navigation to maneuver a standard bomb with enough precision to land within about eight feet of the target. A laser guidance kit is also available.

AFRL's team took this proven "smart bomb" kit and modified it for naval applications. The new version - dubbed "Quicksink" - uses modular sensors to adapt JDAM's precision guidance capabilities for use against moving maritime targets. A gliding variant of Quickstrike-J can be installed from a standoff distance of up to 40 nm

The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and Eglin Air Force Base’s Integrated Test Team recently demonstrated a new low-cost, air-delivered smart weapon capability intended to defeat maritime threats. The test, which happened on April 28, 2022, saw an F-15E Strike Eagle releasing a modified 2,000-pound GBU-31 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) and successfully destroying a full-scale surface vessel in the Gulf of Mexico.

This test is the second experiment in the Quicksink Joint Capability Technology Demonstration, a collaborative effort with AFRL, the 780th Test Squadron of the 96th Test Wing, and the 85th Test and Evaluation Squadron of the 53rd Wing, and funded by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. “Quicksink is an answer to an urgent need to neutralize maritime threats to freedom around the world,” said Col. Tony Meeks, director of AFRL’s Munitions Directorate. “The men and women of this directorate consistently find ways to solve our nation’s greatest challenges.”

hope you are aware of the fact that basicly even the very concepts of mk 84 and JDAM are already a part of American doctrine and we have them and we are using them exactly as the way America or any other sane country does. with your understanding HGK, KGK, small diameter bomb, ATMACA, GÖKDOĞAN, BOZDOĞAN, KARAOK.... are an act of ''Copy paste other countries doctrine'' Further, in a broder sense NATO is ''copy and pase'' even the caliber of your rifle rounds or caliber of your tank rounds to the diamiter of your torpido tubes are the exact same. Quicksink is a sound concept so be open minded this is the key for progress.

What do you want to tell with this? The differences is we don't deny that we have the doctrine from them. At the moment we have better doctrines then Americans, but we lack on technology.
