After the F500C project, we won't have any problems with FLIRs anymore. Aselflir-600 is like a prestige project.
If F-500C doesn't see a major delay I think phase III will include a new FLIR. I don't think R400D is a leap that is big enough to justify a new FLIR.Hope ATAK Faz-III will include a new FLIR.
I didn't expect this, I quite wondered its spects. I hope, Ours gonna show to our in fair.. What difference or differences from F500C ? Algoritms? Sensor qualifity? Dimension? @TheInsider Are you have knowledge?
Yes Aselsan has that habit, they announce a system then give it a name-tag and it all becomes confusing.
Vaovv, I guess, F500C name changed wiht MEROPS. I'm so happy when I see this.
No. This is not what I said at all. What I said is it is probably a cut-down F500C that uses CATS level sensors(or maybe the 1024*768 sensor of R400D) rather than HD sensors so it will basically replace CATS and MX-15 for tactical and light MALE UAVs as a cost-effective upgrade. While the F500C will be a premium product with its HD sensors and will be offered for higher altitude heavy male and strategic UAVs.So for MEROPS is optimized CATS we are saying? However, Aselsan didn't stay late for this? Let's awake after sold 500 TB2.
I think TB2s should use a lighter and cheaper EO like MX-10. I think TAF requirements are being overkill for such a small UAV. A fully strike focused variant of TB2 should be developed with a lighter/cheaper EO and less loiter time.No. This is not what I said at all. Something like that.
TB2,Anka MEROPS ~20-25k feet up to 30kft.
Aksungur,Akıncı 2x450hp F500C ~30k feet up to 40kft.
Akıncı 2x750hp, 2x950hp 40k+ft AselFLIR-600(when it is ready)
Yes, using MX-15 level FLIR for TB2 is overkill. Anka is fine with MX-15 though. Most of the time TB2 operates under 20k feet and closer to the target. There is no need to get insane-quality videos from 100+km with TB2. With a more appropriate EO targeting system, TB2 can be even more cost-effective. MX-15 is really expensive and MX-15 covers a big portion of the cost associated with a TB2.I think TB2s should use a lighter and cheaper EO like MX-10. Perfect export potential for countries with low-budget for defence acquisitions. Shipped with Mam-C.I wonder if someone will come up with a smaller TB2 replacement powered by the new PG-50S engine. At like 325kg take of weight it could work wonders. It could be used for missions where a TB2 is too much.
