that is not right either. Akinci S9 was seen in the video, suggesting at least 9 operating Akincis
Not necessarily. A plane with designation of S9 may have been finished and out of production line earlier than S7 and S8. That is quite common in production. S7 and S8 may still be in the production line waiting a part that may not have fitted just right etc etc.

internal EW, does the TB-2 have enough energy for that?
i believe EW pod is baked in.
During Euphrates Shield operation when TB2’s became almost useless due to EW being applied to them, Anka UAVs were used in their place because of their immunity to EW.
After this operation TB2 went under scrutiny with respect to EW resistance and over the months that followed it first showed itself as invincible against Syria, then in Libya and of course lastly in Karabakh, it excelled.
Whatever Bayraktar has done electronically to this plane, it is working so well against Russian AD systems and that it is continuing to be a sore point for them.

The AKINCI-B has very high payload Capacity.

According to the Footage published by the CEO

Weapons

6 x MAM-L (22.5kg)
2 x Bozok (16kg)
2 x MAM-T (95kg)
1 x Teber-82 (270kg)
1 x KGK-SİHA-82 (340kg)
1 x SOM A/B (600kg)

= 1567 kg Weapons Load

Additional

MX-20D (95kg)

AKINCI-B Payload = 1662kg

EW towards the data-link between the ground station and the drone, i assume?
Yes. Also jamming GPS signal was a problem. But if I remember correctly, Anka-S had satellite link that made it immune to EW anyway. However Anka also had special equipment developed originally by Tubitak and completed by Meteksan that nullified GPS Jamming/spoofing and EW activity. This was extra small and light.
A version of this, probably, what was applied to TB2 to make it what it is today.
Below article explains in detail the timeline of how anti EW capability was given to our UAVs.
But there must be something extra that can do more than just that to justify those comments made by the Ukrainian operators.

ASELSAN is working on an insect-sized nano-UAV

ASELSAN allocates approximately 7 percent of its annual turnover to R&D every year. The company has 8 R&D centers. The 5 ASELSAN sector presidencies, which are separated in terms of their fields of activity, also operate like R&D centers.

In addition, ASELSAN carries out studies to follow the leading technologies of the future with rapidly developing and changing technological innovations such as biodefense, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, autonomy and mechatronics, and to carry Turkey to the top in the current global race.

In line with its strategic goals, ASELSAN carries out a series of R&D projects in order to provide needed technological gains, support change and development, maintain and move forward the technological superiority of the company. Priority R&D projects and those that have reached a certain maturity are turned into products through the relevant production unit.

ASELSAN Research Center, which is under the R&D Management Deputy General Directorate, takes micro aircraft inspired by insects to its agenda, closely following the studies in this field and working on the production of the first insect-sized, flapping winged micro aircraft in Turkey. For this purpose, researches are carried out on flapping wing aerodynamics, the use of smart materials and docile mechanisms.

Projects in this field will emerge according to the results of the "pioneering research" study.

Capable "insect UAVs"

These micro-aircraft offer many advantages such as gliding through the air, maneuvering in closed areas, low radar surface cross-section, portability and the ability to produce high lift force at low weight. These vehicles have many important applications, including search and rescue missions and operations in toxic environments.

The component that causes a large part of the weight in the design of micro aircraft draws attention as the actuator and motion transmission mechanism used for wing flapping motion. The motor and gearbox make up a significant part of the robot's total mass.

Smart materials such as shape memory alloys, electroactive polymers and piezoelectric materials offer viable options due to their low weight, small size and simple design in order to avoid size and weight limitations in flutter-wing micro-aircraft.

Piezoelectric actuators stand out as the most widely used actuator type in micro aircraft, due to their small size, low weight and fast reaction response. Various configurations and mechanisms for piezoelectric actuators are used in wings to achieve flapping wing motion.

"The goal is to direct the technology"

ASELSAN Chairman of the Board and General Manager Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün told Anadolu Agency (AA) that defense industry companies that aim to develop themselves with an innovative perspective stand out in global competition.

Emphasizing that they are aware of this as a company and that they prioritize R&D and innovation in all their work, Görgün made the following assessment:

"At ASELSAN, with the aim of leading technology, we continue our basic research studies on groundbreaking technologies with an innovative perspective in a wide area ranging from artificial intelligence to autonomy, from photonics to metamaterials, from biodefense to quantum technologies. With the same innovative perspective, we continue to move our country and ASELSAN forward. In addition to carrying out basic R&D studies in the specified technology areas, we also carry out cooperation studies with leading universities / institutes, institutions and organizations in the country and abroad in order to strengthen our R&D ecosystem.

What do you guys think of this design? any additional information?
This design is no heavy lifter.
The tilted rotors pose some risk of malfunctioning.
But if they can make it work well it will be fast and agile.
All three rotors are tiltable so it is safe to assume it is pure electric powered which means small amount of energy for payload or endurance. Can do some job but could be better.

I have talked about this project years ago that is ideal weapon ,
A very small drone just as mosquito or fly will be great tool for MIT to eleminate terrorist (feto/pkk ...) around the world with minimal trace .
Inside drone it needs some super deadly poison like Polonium 210 , ricin , nerve agent etc
It can aslo used as spy tool
If engeeners build it to control at least 1km away from safe distance and 10-20 hour fly time thats amazing weapon .

What do you guys think about a rail launched-parachute landing mini UCAV? Soldiers on remote bases in Iraq can quickly launch one of these and carry out two MAM-L attacks assuming you can integrate an EO system with a target designator.
