Still 30 hours to go for any major acquisition contract. Don't lose hope just yet.

I don't know since when Ballistic missile contract order and LRSAM is minor contract order?? Or contract for more than 6000 bikes and 3000 tactical Jeep vehicles along with undisclosed order of Anoa from PINDAD? Or because they are coming from Turkey or Indonesia?

But since the Twitter guy says so everyone must abide by then

Since our potential adversaries were changing from M'sia & S'pore to China.

Unless of course the ballistic missile is IRBM, which would put Beijing in its range.

Could be lot of things actually, buying in piece meal culture (budaya ngeteng), in FFBNW state for too long (some intended/planned equipment already out of production), requirement/selection based on when and how much the budget is instead of proper budget planning based on their intended roles from the start of the project and also the usual change in command = change in commitment problem. Not to mention "titipan pejabat" factor on top of that.
We know who the culprit is, but the members here are too much of a fan to criticize the culprit and the organization.

Seriously the budget scheme is pretty retarded, and in the name of 'saving' a nonsense budget scheme is in place. They only approve of a yearly budget to run any organization at the bare minimum and can't go more than that. With this scheme, how could anyone be able to run any high-cost long-term programs?

One organization determines all others' budgets, insanity! but whatever, everyone is such a fan and the person is half-god and therefore beyond criticism.

their Destroyer TF2000 gonna use GENESIS ADVENT, isn't it?
All vessels in TN uses ADVENT, or will use ADVENT for the future platforms.

TCG Anadolu will have amphibious joint operation plugin (Land - Air - Navy)
TF2000 will have AAW plugin for theatrical air defenses.
Etc, etc. TCG Ufuk runs Advent with a specialized version for intelligence, data distribution etc.
At least Turkey Made vessels had been using genesys Adven CMS including their top of the line AAW Frigate
Because Genesis firstly developed by Armerkom (Navy R&D) & Havelsan, Advent is built on top of GENESIS again by Armerkom & Havelsan, so yes naturally all Navy ships use Advent.

Also the MPA, UAVs, USVs will be using Advent.

Advent kalyon for surface vessels
Advent muren for submarines
Advent marti for MPA, MP-UAV
Advent ufuk for strategical coordination centers
Advent rota for unmanned vessels/airborne assets

All shares the same architecture, shares resources etc.

Day 3 still no contract for next batch Rafale
Optional orders does not require an additional contract if i am not mistaken, that is why they are signed within the same contract as 'optional' to reduce paper work and price estimation etc.

So if the latter 36 is 'optional' then it will be effective once Indonesia demands realization of the contract.

That's a nice roadmap your Armed Forces has, simplify logistic, simplify architecture design of combat management system units, more ease of maintenance and training for the crew, very much a good example for our Armed Forces to emulated in near future.

well, it seem the china attitude in SCS and what happen in UA, already change the so call "ningrat" ministry point of view, and we cannot blame full to them, if we look back how previous mindef organize its own budget, trully bobrok. also when user said every single weapon acquitision should consider country economics situation AKA nrimo, its not his f***ing job desk to think about economics situations. its perfect disaster

I kept thinking about using all TF-2000 armament configuration when we decided to make our own AH140 design.

It has everything that Turkey can produce. CMS, SAM, AShM, ALKA, etc.

The fact that they plan to produce eight of them making sure that there'll be no problem in terms of spare parts and maintenance.

Now we're in the honeymoon period with the Turks, surely this should be an interesting option.
Alka is available for land based applications as of now,

There is Nazar DIRCM that will be on TF2000 to blind IIR based missiles.

Nazar Lite will be on corvettes - light frigates that will have reduced weight version by limiting number of bands.

There will be another high energy laser to hard-kill certain targets, possibly integrated to Nazar's full version and separately made for frigates.

TF2000 has 12 radars more similar to Horizon class. But Aselsan will also produce fixed face X band + Rotating S band similar to Leonardo's that, if Indonesian Navy wants to get an early insight, may opt for these.

Being one of the first users has a disadvantage since it takes time to maturize however during this term a great know-how in maintenance, MRO is achieved. Such a knowledge also helps for production of similar systems, locally.

TNI itself had a good trait, as they actually never shy away to get newly developed weapon system from abroad. Even with heavy risk ahead, though they had limited budget to do fix jobs if shit hit the fan actually. There is several case about that, so every option actually open for now
