It is designed that way to use internal volume effectively. Kızılelma has an internal weapons bay. Smaller landing gears not only mean less weight but also means more internal volume for other uses. Of course, there is a limit to it.
Leg folding is also a decision taken in line to optimize internal bays.It is not only about the volume of internal bays but also about how the legs are folding which seems to be folding to the front. The leg root volume and volume of other parts of the leg also plays a role, things can change. A little movement of the legs can open up space. They don't want to be remembered with tiny wheels forever.
Can you share the link?...and the Greek media is already reporting about this. They're fast asf.
Apart from the service windows, it seems there are 6 antennas and various avionics receiver/transmitter etc. components on the fuselage. The one with the light-gray radome probably contains SATCOM antennas. However, the protrusion behind it and in line with the wings is quite remarkable. These were not included in the mock-up shown earlier.
Whilst I do agree, I don't think Kızılelma materialized in just 8 months. It took them years.I do wonder though
Where are those who used to say that Baykar is just an AKP propaganda machine and that none of his projects will be completed within the due date
Baykar honestly deserves each and every bit of favouritism there is! Baykar is a company that materialised a jet drone from scratch in only 8 months!
All HAIL BAYKAR!
