I think, They are at least considering whether or not Maiden flight will happen today. If They decide to skip, It might be highly unlikely that They will have an another oppurtunity this week.

It is designed that way to use internal volume effectively. Kızılelma has an internal weapons bay. Smaller landing gears not only mean less weight but also means more internal volume for other uses. Of course, there is a limit to it.

They do not want to design internal bays so tight that they can only use wheels this small which limits braking and speeding capabilities. There must be some room to move wheel positions back and forth still.

Internal bay design is limited with the size/total volume of Kızılelma so you have a limited volume. Internal bays are designed according to the size/volume of the Kızılelma, not the other way around. If you want to increase the volume of internal bays without changing the total size/volume of the aircraft you need to miniaturize other subsystems so that more volume can be allocated to internal bays.

The leg root volume and volume of other parts of the leg also plays a role, things can change. A little movement of the legs can open up space. They don't want to be remembered with tiny wheels forever.

2023 will be the beginning of ahuge leap in terms of indepedence, capabilities and power projection for the TurAF.

I hope we will see Land Forces and Navy follow with their projects in the following years.

The leg root volume and volume of other parts of the leg also plays a role, things can change. A little movement of the legs can open up space. They don't want to be remembered with tiny wheels forever.
Leg folding is also a decision taken in line to optimize internal bays.

Now it's TISU's turn. We will be eagerly waiting the day when it will appear in all its glory. I know that there is no example of fighter drones that will create a force multiplier in the world except for experimental models and Turkiye has become a country that is being followed in the field of unmanned jets and bombers. History will be rewritten the day our unmanned fighter jets, which will be equipped with domestic AESA radar, firing our own BVR missile in conflict zones to shoots down a manned aircraft. Those are the aircrafts that will come one night suddenly against enemies.

Btw, I think TISU is designed with the air intakes on the upper part and will stand out more with its stealth and sensor technology. Aircraft with the air intakes on the top absorb lower amount of air required for the engine during sharp maneuvers and lose power, hence the mission profiles of these type of aircrafts are evaluated in this context so sensor fusion and stealth features will be special for TISU so I think TUSAŞ will use sensor fusion and surveillance systems developed for TFX on the TISU.

MIUS on the other hand was designed with the air intakes on the side and designed with canards. This means MIUS is designed for sharp maneuvers with a stealth fuselage with weapons taken inside the fuselage and will find its place in this mission profile in conflicts. They will be allocated to missions where they can maximize their capabilities with uniquely designed tactics in accordance to their characteristics. When the twin engine versions of these fighter drones arrive, the rules of the game will be rewritten.

When these two fighter drones are combined with their big brother TFX, the result will be an unbeatable and unreachable capabilities and tactics that will put the Turkiye in giants league.

Apart from the service windows, it seems there are 6 antennas and various avionics receiver/transmitter etc. components on the fuselage. The one with the light-gray radome probably contains SATCOM antennas. However, the protrusion behind it and in line with the wings is quite remarkable. These were not included in the mock-up shown earlier.

The other remarkable thing is the cleanliness of the assembly. If we think about the planes full of gap, alignment, mismatch problems and burn marks of some of our neighbors who claim to build airplanes, we can better understand the difference between western aviation industry and others.

The third important thing is what Baykar Tech is trying to experience on KE in terms of aerodynamics. Fully movable canards, chine geometry along the entire fuselage, trapezoidal wings with LERX extension. Maybe it's not the KE-A, maybe it's not the KE-B, but this design approach clearly shows that what Baykar wants to achieve is about hunting F-22 like air superiority fighters.

KE will be against aircrafts what TB2 became for tanks and armoured fighting vehicles.
It will be their biggest nightmare.
It is a shame that it only has a small engine at the moment. 6000lbf thrust engine, even without AB, will make this drone very potent, agile and manoeuvrable.
If it is as stealthy as we expect it to be, then there is no stopping it.

Kizilelma recent video of it carrying out taxi tests is a major point in Turkish aviation history; each and every Turk should be proud of such moment. The moment where Turkey produces its own domestic jet drones to protect its own territorial integrity! A sign of Turkish ingenuity and technological level. 😇😇😇😇😇😊😊😊😊

Baykar honestly deserves each and every bit of favouritism there is! Baykar is a company that materialised a jet drone from scratch in only 8 months!

Whilst I do agree, I don't think Kızılelma materialized in just 8 months. It took them years.
