I wanted to say that a country like us cannot separate the United States from technological cooperation.
Not even us. But for radar we stupidly take the know-how from Iran lol. Whatever lah, absorbs it as long as it good for us. I don’t know do Indonesia get the knowledge about radar1 from this KFX project with your country or you keep it for yourself.

Edit: 1. AESA more specifically

There's no ID flag in this case

I wonder if there were secret foreign representatives visiting TF-X assembly line on Nov 21 along with the Turkish governments that leads up to this.

Is that means that there is a chance that Indonesia will use other radar for IFX???
same thing could happen to the engine, IRST and other stuff.....

So Korea is developing it on its own. That is not to say that we are in a situation like Turkey. Relations with the United States are good. Do you think Indonesia will be in an opposite position to the United States in the future? During the new Cold War?
The U.S had duped us in the past and they will do it again. Although tbh US is our best bet against China atm.

According to Mr. Alman here, the weapons A2G package consisted of AGM-65 and JDAM. If true, what a sad waste of potential.

What's with Indonesian air force obsession with Mavericks btw ? Its outdated imo

I don't know, my feeling is that , due to the very expensive price tag we can't afford many prime US weapons to be acquired. Rumors has it that someone need something to sell in 2024, and platforms instead of loadout are hell lot sexier to sell the masses.

I feel the same way as Umigami. The differences between KFX and IFX include IFF in Indonesia and LenLink in Indonesia's own data link system. It will probably be customized to suit the situation in Indonesia. (This is why Indonesia is receiving prototype No. 5. PTDI engineers are learning the experience and technology of integrating your parts with KAI.) I think there will be other detailed differences, but I don't know in detail.
Other than that, IFX will use the same equipment as Korea. I think it will take too much time to select and integrate new IRST, radar, etc. again. Of course the cost goes up.

Putting new avionics to Fighter isn't as simple as plug and play.

I think it's InfoGlobal
