Entire Turkish media landscape is silent, what a fucking joke.

Let me tell you what happened Damat snapped and Tayyip told him to get back in line. Which is said because the economy could really do with someone like Simsek or Babacan again.

If Erdogan has at least a bit of a midterm vision and some strategic thinking (unlike his usual short term decision making for saving the day) he can make some good moves that will start giving results in a few years and can easily win him the elections in 2023.
The Presidential system gives a lot of powers to the guy on the top but if something goes bad all the blame is put on him too so Erdogan must understand that he needs working pieces to make the machine run well.

For that he will have to choose someone who actually knows how the economy works and is ready to take the necessary unpopular decisions to put the economy and the TL back on track towards a better and more sustainable future... Erdogan should put such a man in charge and has to support him and even to swallow his pride if necessary for the greater good of his Government and Turkey.

I saw something like this in the internet but hard to confirm. Since Biden is elected, cabinet and some policies might change and cabinet revision has been on the table for so long.

This one is completely fake, his account is closed. It is impossible to be hacked and stay silent if you are a minister. No official statement about hacking for 4 hrs. And no recovering attempt? This whole process is complete mess.. May be RTE is still thinking and Mr. Albayrak acted on his own
What the heck? I was shocked at first. Hakan Fidan Minister of Foreign Affairs and nothing about Mevlut Cavusoglu, Suleyman Soylu out of Ministry of Internal affairs and the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank on his post, Presidency Director of Communication Fahrettin Altun becomes Minister of Culture.

Adnan Bali says the rumors are fake

Albayrak had many chances but squandered it.

Its best he leaves and let somebody better takeover.

Dolar / Lira from: 8.54 to 8.38 even though the resignation hasn't been confirmed or approved by Erdogan.
Meaning: an empty chair is better than albayrak.
Update: 8.27 and going down.

He is a useless piece of twat. He has the entire state beaucracy (hopefully autocracy) but goes with father-in-laws politics.

Transparency & fucking accountability!

Positions should not be for family or even close ones. We are no different from a monarchy if we go by this example can be seen in the USA with Trump.

Albyarak has been given many chances and he fcked it up regardless of Erdogan or not. He failed.

Its best we move on. Turkish economy regardless should not be used for petty politics or some dick waving.

Its a national interest alongside defence. Erdogan has to employ the best of the best rather than his own. This should be for everybody.

Never screw the economy whatsoever that should be a redline.

I think the change came to try instill some trust in the Turkish Lira before Biden takes out the sledge hammer (CATSA). But we'll see how it goes, and whether 5 years of mental management and the downward slope can be stopped. Remember it's easier to destroy than rebuild.

This is blatant idiocy. Doesn’t RTE have a press room in that big crap palace he has built.

If they are going to wait until after they have held a meeting to announce things the entire financial market is going to suffer losse because of the uncertainty it unleashes. Fucking idiocy
Somebody says there has been a fight in the family, the silence indicates that it was a "private matter".
And strangely, unlike in resignation of Soylu, nobody is backing up Albayrak
No wonder this guy's made-up story is partially accurate:

And i can add, probably his social media accounts tried to be seized by social media managers of Erdogan, thus he deleted twitter account and went on with Instagram -which is personal- for announcement.

I would prefer if those numbers were given out in USD for comparison, or divided into years to give a better understanding of investments.

50 b TL today is nothing if it was compared to 2008.

It’s 8.10 TL for 1$ right now. The Lira gained 5% and it’s still noon. American markets haven’t even opened yet so it won’t be surprising if the Lira gains even more by the end of the day.

And all that after a resignation that is not even official yet. Let’s hope that Berat goes away as fast as possible and not wait any further.

I think I read he owns land in the area where RTE wants to build the canal in Istanbul... TWF should take it. All land owned by AKP and their fanboys in that are.

does he has company branch in Turkey?
He and his wife has done vaccine tests in Turkey (real patriots). Whether they are production or not I don't know. But I would assume the government has made everything ready for production.

And now you got the proof. Lira devaluation is not based on economical ties or substantial reforms. Its based on psychological value and easy to get manipulated.
