Tumosan produces some small marine engines,75 -105 HP medium speed engines.
Tümosan reveals marine engines and generators

Ford -Otosan has worked on marinized ecotorq- a truck engine designed from scratch. The power rate of marinized versions was told to be, <600 HP the engine is was a medium speed diesel engine.

Tulomsas is another company that specialises in large diesel power plants. They also produce diesel hybrid engines. Together with Aselsan they have an 940 HP engine (hsl700) with electro-diesel and hybrid power

In 1968, Tülomsas started to manufacture French SEMT Pielstick TLM16V185 locomative engines under license. These engines are used by Turkey's biggest ferry boats in Van Lake.

In 1964, Japanese JFE started to manufacture same engine under license and with small improvements, build their own engine family that is used for civil and military applications. Countries such as U.S, UK, South Korea, India, Sweden, China and Finland also build their own engine brands over the SEMT Pielstick engine license production.

ERV (emergency response vessel) Nene Hatun was offered by ministry in earlier expeditions, later expeditions were conducted with leased foreigner vessels.

Requirements are:

Stern winches,
RHIB-Boat deployment,
Standard Container capacity,
Scientific measurement utilities -Laboratories
Accommodation facilities,

There was a mention of such a ship several years back with some extra accommodation capacity for passengers. We are a seafaring nation we should build a ship with ample capacities not just for transportation but as a mobile exploratory base.

Turkey will set up a permanent base in Antarctica, already left some measurement equipment, scanned area for possible locations. I will create a thread about these expeditions when i have time.

We're already building supply vessels for companies like Esvagt. Would these vessels have similar capabilities or would they have more research facilities ?

Also would TN be present on these ships for security ?

I guess these ships are civilian only and can only have pistols for security (?) I believe our scientists want to have a base on land in Antarctica therefore they want to move supplies and construction materials to location initially and also they will use the ship to move around the chosen location. Not sure but I think they don't intend to move around the entire Antarctica because of possession claim limitations (?). A new ship custom made for the purpose can be viable if it can be built cost effectively.

An image was published earlier, has shown the progress. I am hopeful that it can be launched soon and they can start fitting.
The construction at main deck level was completed, i am sure the supper structure is easier to construct and build (except the mast)
