ASELSAN 35mm Single Barrel Marine Head Cannon
The one with the EA/Jammer (pantsir lookalike) is hybrid air defense system. The other one with AESA and Sungur MANPADS is point air defense system.
This Point is called the Air Defense (NHS) System. It's not a Hybrid Air Defense System. I think they are 2 different projects
As platforms evolve into higher capacity boats, I expect to see these hybrid, missile + 35mm turrets on USVs. For example, 4/6 KUZGUN, multi-role 35/40mm cannon and integrated PMADS can create an extraordinarily large asymmetric threat against small displacement boats such as adversary patrol/ missile boats; and any military-grade helicopters/logistic operation between islands.
Energy weapons like jammers-microwave, lasers and DIRCM+kinetic weapon combo is hybrid air defense. What is hybrid AD? With sungur missiles and AA gun?
We need to put this on every ship we have, not because they might need it, but because it is gorgeous.-Will you develop gun based CIWS or missile based CIWS?
-Aselsan : Yes
And it is beautiful.
I was waiting for a system like this for years finally. where is the manpads?Turkish Pantsir. It could be an ideal solution for anti-drone warfare and maybe limited CRAM missions. It's time to show Russians how these things should be done.

Yes, G40 is now in contract phase. There also will be a NASAMS like system. It seems from the size of launchers that the missile system is not Hisar but land version of Goktug family

Most probably ,fire control radar will guide RF guided missiles ,whereas other ones will use iir guided missiles. And 35 mm can use aesa panels onlyDo you have any idea why wheeled point defense system has a Fire Control Radar and Naval CIWS don't.
While Both have 4 fixed AESA panel why the naval one doesn't have?

AFAIK FCR is needed for the 35mm cannon due to calculate distance for smart ammunition. However fixed AESA plates can determine everything around CIWS . So why wheeled CIWS has a FCR?
I don't think so. If wheeled CIWS has RF guided SAMs,it will be crazy. I think the wheeled one is not original image from ASELSAN.Most probably ,fire control radar will guide RF guided missiles ,whereas other ones will use iir guided missiles. And 35 mm can use aesa panels only
Maybe AESA radar doesn't have enough angular or distance resolution.Do you have any idea why wheeled point defense system has a Fire Control Radar and Naval CIWS don't.

But the naval one doesn't have any FCR! If the AESA plates weren't enough to calculate distance, the naval one should also have FCR.Maybe AESA radar doesn't have enough angular or distance resolution.
