Now think possible scenarios about Milden. While hiding in the depths of waters in an unknown position, Milden can attack enemy elements with Akya Blk-1/2 torpedoes and/or Milden can also launch Sub-Atmaca Blk2 to surface ships/ports. Against helicopters or aircrafts that is flying to detect submarine, Milden can fire Hisar-Derin missile as well. When necessary, She can strike on deepest part of enemy land with Sub-Gezgin missiles. While doing all this, she will continue to hide under the water and cant even be detected. The elements used to strike enemy by Milden is very wide but It is a platform that is very difficult to destroy. There will be many reasons for enemy to worry about. It will provide enormous deterrence when joined into inventory.
It will be a great submarine that can also launch ballistic missiles.

It's the one in red

The one in green is for the special force delivery system . Some submarines have this delivery system but in VLS position . I think it's unlikely for the Milden project .

My opinion is based on comparing pictures of different submarine diagrams . so I might be wrong about the VLS

I see. I guess I was hoping for 10-12 VLS cells

Bundeswehr hopes to introduce it in 2024 earliest! In development since 2008 at least. But financing has been cut apparently. Runs like your average German defence project, behind on schedule and probably way over budget.

To be fair, I think it’s a global phenomenon

Wasnt the Hisar-Derin project in jeopardy? i remember hearing something like that on Kaner Kurt's Q&A broadcasts.

any info, @Anmdt ?
It was merely a conceptual work by Aselsan with no interest from Navy. Navy seems to be interested in another concept for now (to begin with) but may also be interested in Derin concept if Roketsan-Aselsan may work out the torpedo-like carrier system for the missiles. After all, SAM, CM or BM wont be the only weapons that navy is interested in the doctrine to be adopted in future.

16 years for a faking missile. Based on an existing one. Not from the scratch. Thats a good example why Western projects take that long. And ours that fast.
But what is our equivalent of IDAS missile?

Did anyone make it on board? I have never seen such a crowded harbor visit event in my life. People of all age groups came to the TCG Anadolu with excitement. TCG Anadolu became the symbol of Blue Homeland awareness. Hope that it will visit Anatolian cities well whenever possible.

Our people must become maritimeized. Our culture of maritime and naval affinity must progress. The sea must be part of their lives. Policies to popularize sailing and sea sports among young people should come to the fore. We should develop the dreams of our children by having them visit these ships and interact with naval personnel. We should have institutes and foundations dedicated to this. Our future is in the seas. Blue Homeland is not a military doctrine, but a revolution in our minds. TCG Anadolu is a historic step for our country, not only because of the extraordinary gains it will bring to our country's defense and diplomatic capacity, but also because it will be the flag bearer of this revolution.
Here, here! Can't agree hard enough.

SSNs or bust :D

"President Erdogan: "Britain wants to cooperate for the construction of submarines.""
For the Milden project I think. Unless they're thinking of something like a nuclear submarine in the medium-long term.I wonder what they can offer us as subsystems that we would like to obtain from the Germans under normal circumstances.

I came early so only waited in line 1 hour but line kept getting longer. Not too many people at once aboard the ship but it was a little disorganized, you could stay there all day if you wanted, once on upper deck groups kept getting split up. No restrictions about pictures etc. though that was nice

More details:
• Source tells MEE that British government is interested in joint production of unmanned submarines with Ankara

source: Ragıp Soylu
You know this makes more sense now.
- SSN OR SSNB? Why would they get into such a joint venture with Turkey while they will have the Dreadnaught Class in service in ’30
- SS(K) Attack Submarines? Wouldn’t they go straight to the source HDW, or Italians or French?

Unmanned Submarines, on the other hand, is a more plausible candidate for cooperation or a joint venture given that Turkey has abundant experience and skill piled up in the field.
