Azerbaijan Armenia Tensions

Macron announced that they were uncomfortable with Russia's increasing activities in Africa. French-Russian relations are not as good as it seems.
French political (and military-political) tradition had used to see many successful and valuable political profiles in difficult times. In this respect, the current situation is quite opposite exemplary. France urgently needs to get rid of Macron and his A-team and return to its old & working rational and pragmatic foreign political structure. Behind a lot of populist rhetoric, France's future slips away with these guys.

Mark my words, unless someone comes out of nowhere and wins the presidential election like Macron did,he will again be elected in 2022. If not it will be Marine Le Pen. Hard truth is there's no credible opposition to Macron right now here.

Half a world away, half a million Americans of Armenian descent could help determine the course of war and peace in this troubled region, as they wield influence, experts say, far greater than their numbers.

“In terms of domestic U.S. politics, the Armenian diaspora in America is punching above its weight,” said Richard Giragosian, director of the Regional Studies Center, an independent think tank in Yerevan, Armenia.

Azerbaijan's Embassy in Paris filed a criminal complaint against Armenians who went from France to fight in Karabakh. France has established a special prosecutor's office for "foreign fighters" who went to Syria and has tried hundreds of people so far.

It's also cited in the communiqué "non-Armenian and far right affiliated members".

A Powerful diaspora with 500.000 members. Compared to our laughable joke diaspora with 4.5 mio in Germany.

Yeah well US is a mighty country compared to Germany (esp in military + geopolitical terms)... having 500,000 there and well organised in political pressure groups gets lot more done by having millions in smaller western countries.

Germany also punches well below its economic weight when it comes to foreign policy/activity in general....given a certain psyche/guilt since WW2.

But yah I guess in any case Turk diaspora ought to do more wherever they exist for lobbying.

Turkish diaspora is like kindergarten. Fetö ppl on the other hand had the markings of becoming one comparable with Jewish diaspora, until the fallout.

you raise the youth of a country, you have an influence on how they’ll think.

The only reason the armenian diaspora gains traction is because they are against Turkey and it serves geopolitical agenda for nations like france, US. If they tried anything against england, or france, or germany, austria etc they would gain no traction, none whatsoever. Even then, did their so called diaspora achieve anything for Armenia except misery and defeat?

As for FETO, that was an organistion so big and so well financed it was on its way to having the power to take over nations internally. But the reason it was so powerful was because the US is its owner.
