TNI AL to Build "Sistership" Ship KRI Bung Karno-369
Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral Muhammad Ali said the procurement of the KRI Bung Karno-369 sister ship would be carried out in 2024.
"So the program is for next year, but now there is a blueprint," said Ali at the Kolinlamil Headquarters, North Jakarta, Monday (3/7/2023).
In its design, the sistership is longer than the current KRI Bung Karno-369.
"It's just the same type, both corvettes. The design is almost the same, only the length is slightly increased, just 2-3 meters added," said the KSAL.
"The weapons will be the same," he said again.
Just like KRI Bung Karno-369, the sistership will be produced by a domestic company.
