Agree, bigger LPD (200-210m) and fill it with this would be absolute menace.

but KSR program is probably just another sayembara to support local defense industry.

Tbh, I'm also not a fan of using an LPD for what it isn't designed for, but yeah still better than the KSR concept. Every major navy (especially in the Pacific) is leaving behind small missile boat concept move towards ever larger ships. Meanwhile we are experimenting with untested concept. some say it will be unmanned, even though no navy has yet to fully adopt that concept other than some testing like in IBP21 (US Navy).

Small warships doesn't offer much to navies historically and some would even regret their purchase. I'm happy the KCR 40 stopped in its track but now it seems they want an even smaller hull 🙃

Warships hull dictate what electronics, fuel (endurance) and armaments it could carry. Bigger warship the better.

The helmet is so shinny under the sun light, not good for camouflage.

That amphibious KG biscuit box really need to be replaced but there is no such thing available in the western market, if not buying it from Russia maybe we can develop the replacement locally with foreign help.

China? Thailand bought some

Distance to target 17 nm (31km)?
The audio suggest it.

By comparison the Thai navy does 100km range firing test regularly using C-802 and Harpoon

On March, 25 2021, the Navy is conducting a historic firing of Harpoon Block 1C, defining a firing area in the Andaman Sea about 130 nautical miles west of Phuket (or approximately 240 kilometers) missile fired at a distance of 55 nautical miles, or about 100 kilometers, this is the longest shot ever fired in the ASEAN region using actual bomb heads, operated by the Navy independently of the host country or other.
By at 11.34 pm after the C-802A has been released from the firing tube on the frigates, identifying the 100 km away at 0.94 mach, and the target was accurately destroyed, where the weapon was released.

I believe 'satu tujuh nautical mile' is the distance between GNR and the Exocet (when the sailor said it), especially as it is said together with the missile's info (bearing and speed). Additionally, 03:15 time of flight was mentioned

TNI AL to Build "Sistership" Ship KRI Bung Karno-369

356064983_633055775524645_5960880662852019156_n.jpg

Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral Muhammad Ali said the procurement of the KRI Bung Karno-369 sister ship would be carried out in 2024.

"So the program is for next year, but now there is a blueprint," said Ali at the Kolinlamil Headquarters, North Jakarta, Monday (3/7/2023).

In its design, the sistership is longer than the current KRI Bung Karno-369.

"It's just the same type, both corvettes. The design is almost the same, only the length is slightly increased, just 2-3 meters added," said the KSAL.

"The weapons will be the same," he said again.

Just like KRI Bung Karno-369, the sistership will be produced by a domestic company.

TNI AL launches KRI Tuna-876 to optimize maritime security operations

Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali said the launching of this ship was carried out in order to meet the needs of the Indonesian Navy's main weaponry system and optimize the task of maritime security operations in the strategic environment of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

"KRI Tuna-876 is intended for Koarmada I, later the plan is to place it at Lantamal I Belawan," he said in Batam, Riau Islands.

He explained that the shipbuilding process took 22 months from the signing of the contract on March 4, 2022, with a budget of IDR 310 billion. KRI Tuna-876 was designated as a Warship of the Republic of Indonesia based on the Decree of the TNI Commander Number Kep/222/11/2023 dated 28 February 2023.

KRI Tuna-876 is 62.40 meters long, 8.80 meters wide and 19.37 meters high. This ship has a maximum speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots.

"For weapons, KRI Tuna-876 is equipped with one 40 mm cannon and two 12.7 mm cannons, and has a crew of 50 people," he said.

Ali explained that the choice of the name "Tuna" for this ship has a philosophical meaning. "In Greek, 'Tuna' is called 'Thino' which means 'to fly'. 'Tuna' is also famous for its speed and ability to adapt to various water conditions," he said.
