Turkey receives payments from the EU budget as pre-accession support, currently 4.5 billion allocated for the 2014–2020 period (about 740 million Euros per year) and some others.

EU basically saying give up your interests and Sovreignty to become apart of the EU which means basically giving up Cyprus and the Caucausus which ever places you have interests.

I doubt Turkiye will ever give up Northern Cyprus.
