His Majesty the King also stressed the need for the reconstruction process to be carried out according to specifications and under technical and architectural supervision that is consistent with the region’s heritage and respects its unique architectural characteristics.

Moreover, during the same working session, His Majesty the King renewed his high directives, so that the response would be strong, rapid and proactive while respecting the dignity of the population, their customs, customs and heritage. These measures should not only repair the damage caused by the earthquake but should also launch a thoughtful, integrated, and ambitious program to reconstruct the affected areas and improve them in general, whether in terms of strengthening infrastructure or raising the quality of the lands. Quality of public services.

Immediate reconstruction measures will be deployed after initial testing, land preparation, and stabilization operations. For this purpose, it is planned to provide direct financial assistance amounting to 140,000 ( 14 000 USD) dirhams for completely collapsed homes and 80,000 ( 8 000 USD) dirhams to cover the rehabilitation work of partially collapsed homes. Each family will also get 30 000 dirham ( 3 000 USD) .(Royal Court communication)

The program will cover approximately 50 000 homes.

In less than a week, all the victims of the earthquake were sheltered, including in the event of bad weather. Moroccan rescuers were able to survey and rescue almost 40,000km2, the equivalent of 4x Lebanon.

Foreign rescuers are feeling increasingly frustrated, as they realize that their presence on the ground is not really necessary, as Moroccans have already handled emergency situations themselves.

Our collective prayers continue for Moroccan nation and its efforts in rescue and recovery from the tragedy.

The Moroccan ambassador to India recently gave statement thanking India for its offer of help in whichever way Morocco may require.
India was one of the first nations to offer its condolences and any assistance that Morocco would wish. Thank you, India!
