Erdoğan: "Greece is not Turkey's adversary, but a valuable member of the alliance it is in."

"We share the same geography, the same sea. We breathe the same air. We are intertwined by our history. As two countries, we are aware that there are many issues between us that we have yet to resolve. But it is up to us whether or not we allow these problems to cause tension and lead to disagreements between our governments and our peoples. It is in this sense that I spoke of a 'new page' in our relations and the 'win-win' principle. The 'win-win' approach is already at the heart of Turkey's approach to international relations and diplomacy."

Never let them know your next move.

"But your tiny uneducated brain could not even comprehend the depth of strategic masterclass and geopolitical manoeuvre of 'our' Great leader Erdogan."
Or so I am told By Bangladeshi Islamist every time Erdogan switches stance.

TR and GR do have near irreconcilable differences in multitude of issues and presumably an outside hand is forcing us to work out some of them, or delay them for another generation. Greek nationalists are unhappy with the claims of what their gov is going to do this week, on our side however the running rhetoric is "we've taught them their place." Although Greeks said many times that they are very happy that Turkey stopped "overflights" for the last 6 or so months.

I'll refrain from commenting until we see what the deals are about.

Please tell them that Erdogan is a master demagogue, not an Islamist. He even received two updates over the Islamist version (Nationalism additional package, and then, 'should we go back to this constitutional reform attempt?' beta ver), our Bangladeshi brothers still use the old version.

Could we hear the same words about Israel in the future? 😅 Indeed, hostility to Israel brings votes. It consolidates relations with other Islamic countries.

However, our problems with Greece are huge and crucial. We can even be twin brothers with Israel, but never with Greece.:p

There was a time when AK party and Persians were throwing insults at each other and talks of war/conflict were being discussed. Years later it turned out that during this era AK party were helping the Persians circumvent their sanctions. Hence the Halk bank scandal.

For years Erdogan has talked and treated Putin like a good friend. Meanwhile he downed a Russian jet and has put Turkiye on the opposite side to Russia in every conflict, be it Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Libya, Syria.

He used to call Assad his brother meanwhile and we know how that turned out. He was also best mates with FETO.

The impression he always gave me is that many cases the people he's on good terms with he sees as enemies and the people he's openly enemies with are actually good friends.

So when he says good things about the greeks going on history it means he sees them as an enemy.

Kind words from erdogan are dangerous. When he says kind words, that means he's plotting against you.

As i was writing my comment i was thinking of Isreal. We know before the conflict in Gaza, Natanyahoo was going to Turkiye to potentially resolve the east med gas line issue.

If we take the 50+ Muslim majority countries, erdogan has done more anti Isreal talking then all of them combined, yet in real terms he's actually done nothing to help Gaza. I suspect to help Isreal he will even take a few hundred thousand palestinian refugees, while also selling to islamists he's helping palestine.

Its also interesting how he specifically attacks natanyahoo and the speculation is that he won't last long. So maybe erdogan knows business as usual with the next leader.

So im going to guess that behind the scenes Erdogan and Isreal know what's up. He talks shit to bolster his domestic support, yet will do nothing to actually help. Within 6 months we will probably hear about Isreal going to visit Erdogan again and we go back to how it was pre gaza genocide.

The only things to talk about are these. The return of refugees to Turkiye, airspace violations, maritime violations, nothing else.

Japan Intelligence Service removed PKK, Taliban and Hamas from the list of terrorist organizations.

Japanese Embassy, Turkey:
"The website of the Japan Public Security and Intelligence Agency was updated the other day and the page has now been deleted. The government of Japan has included the PKK in the list of organizations whose assets should be frozen, such as terrorists, etc., since 2002 and condemns terrorist acts committed by the PKK. There is no change in this policy of the Japanese government."

It's not the worst, but it's learning by doing. You can't afford to do that as a state though. It's immature. Naivete and ideological dogmatism led them to sever the continuity of state institutions, cadres and bureaucrats. Tradition and a culture of foreign policy makes your stances sure-footed, graceful and dignified.

"Greek media reporting Greece and Turkiye expected to sign a deal tomorrow during Erdoğan's visit on migration. '... establishing lines of communication between the coast guard agencies of the two countries.' Interesting that an agreement on a previously controversial area between the two is on the table, particularly following the pushback issue. "

Many people think that war is a walk in the park while they forget how war is fought. The only ones buying this are the illiterate Muslim Brotherhood supporter scum that plagued the country just like FETO did before that. They are trying to erase everything with the word "TURK" in it so they can erase the memory of the Turks making them Turkiyelis, exposing the country to the malign foreign influence from which our leader Mustafa Kemal ATATURK saved us when under his leadership TURKS fought, won and established a State known to be the home of enlightening.

Unfortunately most of the people which had the chance to rule failed in their ruling all at different levels. First the Gladio puppets, then the FETO puppets with their prostitutes and now the Muslim Brotherhood. In the early 2000s western powers were good, Turkiye was going to join the EU, relationship was perfect, collaboration both in the diplomatic and military fields was on its highest levels. What happened so it is no more and from Israel that cooperated with the Turkish intelligence for the fight of PKK it turned to "terrorist Israel" and from creating the basis of FETO infiltration that costed us thousand of lives, enlightened people from every part of the Turkish life martyred, it turned to become the terrorist FETO, the FETO which is the biggest threat to the country. What happened?

This is all in result of the personal ambition of one man which was to be the star of the Big Middle East Project. The man that was the director of the Big Middle East Project till yesterday. The one that couldn't even give a musical nota to the US embassy when our elite soldiers were packed like rats in the deserts of Suleymaniye by the US and their friends in shalwars and sandals. All in result of, greed, lack of strategic vision and treason. They couldn't realize that they will be thrown under the bus the moment they try to move even a bit in another direction, the moment they want more than what they earned from their masters. For more than 40 years Turkiye played according to the musical notes that the US played and now the Turkish government bite the same hand that fed them. The entire Muslim Brotherhood network was going to be thrown under the bus if it wasn't for the one tiny Turkish base in the tiny country of Qatar. Our warriors were forced to fight all around the world for the interests of the US and now the moment came where the puppets of the US (more than 25.000 terrorists) opened fire against their own people, our warriors and their ex.

Now we are in another project. Again moved by greed and treason. Again trusting the wrong people, but at least this time our one man got them by the balls. Do you really expect diplomatic and strategic vision by a regime which is moved by their own and ideological agenda? People that did every good thing so they can ensure the future of their traitorous regime marketing it as the "Turkiye Initiative"? The people that tasked a lunatic to be one of the most important men in the country believing that he is putting the basis for the Mehdi's arrival, pushing for a confederative Islamic State (of which Turkiye must be part) of which the national language is Arabic? The same people that willingly turned Turkiye into a refugee camp? The same people that moved the economy in the most illogical way, turning the lira into a toilet paper? You expect diplomatic and strategic vision based on the Turkish National Interests, dictated by the principles of Mustafa Kemal ATATURK by these people? You got to be kidding me bro. There is no more TURK tradition, TURK culture, TURK cadres. There are Turkiyeli traditions, Turkiyeli culture, Turkiyeli cadres, Turkiyeli diplomacy. This is the new Turkiye! You know what is the saddest thing? The opposition is even worst...

Now some of these imbeciles hiding under the cover of the noble religion of Islam justify terrorism for the sake of their master pimp. They try to damage the reputation of the noble religion of Islam, justifying terrorism based on eye for eye, teeth for teeth logic. Cheering and encouraging the spilling of blood of children because they are Israeli. They are the same imbeciles which you can see in the ranks of Al-Qaeda or ISIS, being motivated by a master manipulator not realizing they are being used as a condom which will be thrown away in the trash bin in the moment such needs arise. They are so dumb that they would love to be thrown away full semen just knowing they had the chance to taste it while not realizing how cheap they are. Their beloved pimp ran like a little girl in the face of the FETO terrorists that grew under his protection in the 15th of July while warriors fought on the ground. 253 people were martyred because of his adventures and these imbeciles think that they are worth something? A laughing stock. They are so dumb that they even think parading half naked girls with broken limbs on the street of Gaza will stop Israel's terrorist attacks and will achieve Palestinian independence by kidnaping children and killing 60-70 years old grannys and grandpas at bus stops. These people are appropriate only for one place. A mental health clinic. As long as people like these exist, their pimps will also exist together with their idiotic foreign policy and statements.

Greek media | Germany's role and expectations during Erdoğan's visit to Athens

Few people realise that Berlin played a key role in bringing Athens and Ankara back together after a long period of high tensions.

Germany has mediated between Greece and Turkey more than any other country in recent years.

Since Russia's aggression in Ukraine, such initiatives, coordinated with Washington, have increased.

"We feel obliged to ensure good relations between the parties in the Aegean and we have always been a partner in this endeavour," said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz: "And we will continue to be so in the future."

A year ago, senior diplomats from Greece and Turkey met in Brussels at Germany's initiative and agreed to resume dialogue.

The initiative was given a powerful impetus shortly afterwards when deadly earthquakes shook Turkey and then Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias launched a new "earthquake diplomacy" with a lightning trip to Anatolia.

It was therefore not surprising that Greek-Turkish relations were high on the agenda during the recent Berlin visits of both the Greek prime minister and the Turkish president.

Expectations from Erdoğan's visit

Berlin does not expect the meeting in Athens to bring quick results. The German ambassador to Greece, Kindl, spoke of "a process that will not end on 7 December". And he added: "The main issues will not be discussed, but will be prepared behind the scenes for a later time."

The German diplomat's assessment coincides with the observation that Athens and Ankara want to improve the climate between the two countries at this stage and contribute to confidence-building on non-contentious issues. "This is being done in a very clever way.

The management of (public) expectations is successful," the German ambassador said, praising the Greek government's communication strategy in the run-up to the Turkish President's visit.

The Turkish President's statement that Ankara did not want the intervention of a "third party" caused some discontent and public criticism in the Greek media.

Ankara's insistence on "bilateral" Turkish-Greek relations has always been a constant in Turkey's strategy towards Greece.

This is another reason why Berlin's intervention was cautious from the very beginning. Germany's role in Greek-Turkish relations is not an issue that governments in Turkey, Greece or Germany discuss in detail in public.

However, as Erdoğan is well aware, the issues that Athens and Ankara will negotiate in the coming days and weeks will have implications that go far beyond the bilateral framework.

Few issues illustrate this better than migration, which is certain to play a major role on 7 December. During Erdogan and Mitsotakis' visits to Berlin and their meetings with Scholz, the issue of reducing refugee flows was emphasised.

All three leaders share a common interest in renewing the refugee deal signed between Turkey and the EU in 2016.
When Erdoğan recently spoke of "win-win", i.e. a win-win solution in Greek-Turkish relations, an agreement on migration immediately came to mind.

This issue is increasingly on the agenda, and it is an issue on which Greece, Turkey and Germany have declared their intention to co-operate more closely.

This is another reason why Berlin wants the Greek-Turkish summit next Thursday to have a happy ending.

To this day, I have not been able to understand what kind of gain the readmission agreement created for our country. Ah yes, something can be written just for the sake of writing something. But these are things that have no concrete reflection in realpolitik.

Meanwhile, Germany has been effectively undermining many critical projects of the Turkish military for more than 10 years (Altay tank, EF procurement, etc.) Germany has been pushing back major investments of German companies through political pressure (VW Mersin investment, etc.) The populism in the mainstream media and parliament's current situation is well known. I really can't think of anything that we have seen in German-Turkish relations in favor of Turkiye recently, except maybe the new law on facilitating dual citizenship status.

News Break:

"We are giving too many concessions to the Turks, experiencing memory loss. Prime Minister Mitsotakis fully accepted the dialogue model requested by President Erdogan. Greece stopped asking the US not to sell F-16 fighter jets to President Erdogan.
We are sending very weak messages to Turkey. We also bowed to the Turks on the issue of minority schools in Thrace."
