At least 6 tanks and many ACVs belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces were deployed between the Kafr Jannah - Saran district intersection, there is no tension between HTS and the Opposition. The reason for the deployment is unknown.
Local sources report that the Turkish Armed Forces went on alert by deploying tanks and ACVs for an unknown reason.
While this is happening there is a development related to HTS.
Jihad Isa Sheikh (Zakkour), one of HTS commanders and important financier, announced that he left HTS in a written statement. Jihad Isa Sheikh is in the sanction list of both the US and Turkiye. He intensively worked for the unifying of HTS and SNA groups in the Azez. He made a statement saying that he left HTS because of their practices such as kidnappings, assassinations, and attempts to divide factions of the Syrian opposition
Abu Mariya Qahtani, on Jawlani's left, had been in prison for a long time. He was one of the most prominent figures in HTS, but was arrested on charges of espionage (contacts with the Coalition) and he is accused by local media of plotting a coup against Joulani. The coup is planned by Qahtani and Zakkour with the support of Turkiye and aimed at eliminating Jawlani and his people, taking control over HTS and unifying HTS with SNA under a single leadership with the support of the Turkish Armed Forces.
It was alleged that Qahtani died last night, but according to media connected to Jihad Isa Sheikh he was badly tortured, but still alive. He is known for his works against Al-Qaeda in Idlib and is also a great supporter of Turkiye. According to some he is the person responsible for the green light by HTS for TSK presence in Idlib.
Idlib local media are publishing criticism against Jawlani which is unprecedented. There are rumors about other military commanders within HTS that are close to Jawlani which are taking place in this coup plan. The situation is critical and we may see critical events in the coming months regarding HTS.

If it's publicised like this the initiative has already failed in my opinion
HTS will not unify under SNA, HTS will just keep consuming SNA and taking more land from SNA.

The rumors are circulating from August.
While it is most probably dead cause the rumors state that there are many military commanders involved and as we know Qahtani was/is the second man in HTS so it is normal for him to have supporters. He is a fierce opposition to the Al-Qaeda supporters within the HTS stating that Saif Al-Adl (important Al-Qaeda ideolog and their current leader) is IRGC hostage and is playing according to Iran's directives.
Important part of these organizations is the financial part and now one of the most important financiers of HTS in the name of Zakkour is publicly stating that he is out. He took refuge in Azez as far as I know.
We may see some level of disintegration and groups defecting from HTS, which would lead to other events. It is important to keep Zakkour alive for his influence both when it comes to information, finances and also media influence.

Creating so much instability in Syria that the US is forced to retreat similar to the US retreating from Afghanistan. Pakistan was instrumental in the process of US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Pakistan replaced the US hard power(occupation) in Afghanistan with Chinese (Pakistan's ally) soft power. Of course, Imran Khan paid the price.
I don't think the Afghanistan model works in Syria. Terrain is much easier in Syria.

Pro-HTS 50th Division attacked Zakkour's whereabouts in Turkish controlled Azez. Heavy fighting is going on right now. 50th Division sent reinforcements, The pro-Turkish Baqarah tribe announced mobilization in Al-Bab, Jarablus and Afrin against HTS and sent convoys, Syrian National Army is in state of military alarm. Clashes are still continuing at this moment. May Allah protect our soldiers and let's hope everything will pass without serious consequences.

According to sources Zakkour was captured by the HTS... First you allow him enter and stay in Azez, then you allow HTS forces to enter, clash and capture him in your controlled territory. Another important development! I would be happy to eat my words above. According to sources Turkiye ordered the Military Police to get Zakkour back from the HTS Idlib Security Service. They got him and received order to bring him to Hawar Kilis. Hawar Kilis is a place where the Turkish Intelligence is known to have participated in meetings before. Zakkour's brother was heavily injured and brought to a hospital in Afrin.
Shouldn't have happened in the first place. HTS must have traded him for something.
Or maybe the whole show proved he cannot be an alternative to Jolani and lost him support so he's no longer a threat.
