I don't understand why we'd send Turkmens to Africa, aren't we suppose to keep them close to Turkey and groom and train them, while sending others away, like HTS or something.

Or are the Turkmen not so much loyal and we prefer sending them away to the meatgrinder ?

Anyone got a site that gives a good overview of the factions and groups and loyalties ?

Because they are the only ones over which Turkiye has full control.

HTS or others are not an option. By the way don't look at the signature of the group (Turkmen). Not only Turkmen are allowed and the signature is only a move for internal consumption.

Is it not on the Time to built a foreigner Legion on french example, were Volenteers from arab, african Countries or Turkic States can join ?
There are sincere patriotic people in Turkiye which tried for years, but couldn't get anywhere. It seems that the concept is not part of Turkiye's modus operandi anymore. Instead when such need arises units from the SNA are sent as unconventional support force. Many of the figures that were part of such organization in the beginning of the Syrian civil war are part of the organized crime in Turkiye.

Concepts for unconventional warfare changed for good after the downing of a Russian fighter jet in Syria and the incident with the killed Russian pilot.

Instead of sending an organized force by Turks that is bearing accountability, Turkiye is providing "logistical support" for other groups that act as mercenaries.

Two Turkish soldiers most likely advisors got killed in Turkiye.

It made a lot of news. Especially how stupid of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to mention it in a political rally.

Really stupid of him when opsec should be protected but politicians will do anything for votes.

MIT captured Abdullah Al Jundi, the so-called commander of the Abu Bakr Siddiq terrorist organization related to DAESH, who was preparing to take action against the Turkish security forces in the Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch Operation area, in the El Bab countryside.

‚Commander‘? He is more a teenager than a commander.

Yep, it's them! They were supposed to not be active anymore, but guess what 😏

After the situation with Zakkour and the following events we talked about how DEASH activity will increase both in Turkish controlled areas and also in Turkiye.

We saw a series of operations against DEASH cells in Turkiye and now we see this. While I am not sure if the cells in Turkiye have any relation to HTS I am 99% sure that Abu Baqr Siddiq is working under HTS control. Capturing him (DEASH Aleppo commander) is giving a serious blow to the organization. After he starts to talk I am sure we we will hear about other arrests as well.

HTS has an extremely strict policies when it comes to DEASH. There can not be DEASH activity in Idlib or in our areas without the knowledge of HTS.

It won't be the last. When we squeeze HTS in Idlib, bombs will go off in 81 cities.

Yesterday was a very tense day. We knew from last year's autumn that the Regime was preparing for a small scale operation in Idlib. We know that Suheil Al-Hassan, the Tiger forces commander was given a permission to carry out the operation. After systematic abuses and escalation by the SAA militias and the RuAF, yesterday TSK decided to show force and suppress the Regime forces mainly in the area of Seraqib. The Regime forces hit civilian areas with thermite incendiary munitions resulting in at least 4 martyred civilians and 5 wounded. SAA forces were hit by TSK artillery while TuAF F-16s were showing force in Combat Air Patrol configuration in Idlib and Azez areas.

Simultaneously PKK/YPG forces were hit in multiple locations in the area of Tal Rifat and Ayn Isa. The target in Ayn Isa was reportedly hit by Turkish loitering munitions resulting in 3 dead from the YPG.

Perhaps for the first time since we started intervening in Syria, Turkish warplanes are flying in Syrian airspace. Turkey's sending of Turkish F-16s after the Russians got bogged down in Ukraine is an indication to the regime that rapid air operations are on the table.
