we need more submarinesWe need a more higher profile warships flotila to do so, our Sigma class doesn't stand a chance at all.
It is not about a chance, it is sufficient to show flag and confront whomever violating your territorial waters and whomever conducting economic operations in EEZ.We need a more higher profile warships flotila to do so, our Sigma class doesn't stand a chance at all.

Just make sure the ship is strong enough to ram against other vessels, captains are experienced to maneuver in dog-fights, equipped with SAT -SOF teams and helicopter operations. Add some ESM -EC capability.
They have FONOP rights in EEZ, Innocent Passage in Territorial waters, as long as not interrupting Indonesia's economic operations or protecting illegal economic activities, like Chinese fisheries. We should probably equip all of our Navy ships from patrol boat to frigates with icebreaker ship requirement. Ram power is part of deterrence
Btw, is it against international law to ram china's military vessels in our territory?

But China claims warships are excluded from FONOP, thus they should apply for permit prior to entering their waters (EEZ), in return Indonesia can specifically impose such a rule specifically against Chinese military vessels.
I don't think coast guard ships are considered as miitary ship, because they are not designed or equipped for Naval warfare. So If Indonesia excludes military vessels from FONOP then CG would be excluded. How about China Coast Guard vessel ?? Is it regarded as military asset as well ?? Actually when the vessel sail in our EEZ, it doesnt violate internasional law, but our Navy always want to expel them despite no economic activity conducted by Chinese vessel.
It's actually good. And it shows there is already significant transformation in TNI thinking in general. Those that were shown on the map are all infrastructure that can't be hidden.hehe, they actually shows where they store the ammo
Not valid for FONOP but Innocent passage; in FONOP, a ship is free to navigate on her will. I told it earlier according some sources even foreign navies can conduct exercises in other state's EEZ.They even have to sail in a straight line to their way point which Im pretty sure they didnt
Yes, they can. As long as they apply COLREG - SOLAS (collision prevention-safety at sea) measures. However non-military or non-governmental civilian ships-fisheries can not turn their transponders off (except a few conditions).Military warship turning off transponder in EEZ
A single right: If Indonesia feels threatened, or sensing that China's actions in EEZ are posing threat to sovereignty ie. it doesn't have to be fisheries or drilling, even a single military/CG vessel if suspected of SIGINT/ELINT operations, she can be escorted out of the EEZ. This also might apply for fisheries which conducts FONOP but exhibits strange behavior like, pattern of routes, not responding to radio or emergency channels, emitting signals etc.So yeah when we see CCG we have every right to ask them out of our EEZ.
