Putin made an appeal 20 hours after the terrorist attack
He stated that 11 people were detained, including four who directly killed people in Crocus. At the same time, the Russian dictator linked the attack with Ukraine.
“They (the terrorists) tried to hide and moved towards Ukraine, where, according to preliminary data, a corridor was prepared for them from the Ukrainian side to cross the state border,” he said, adding that the Russian special services are working to identify the terrorists’ accomplices.
According to him, in connection with the terrorist attack in Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as throughout the country, “additional anti-terrorism and anti-sabotage measures have been introduced” and said that the main thing is to prevent accomplices of terrorists from committing new bloody crimes
Putin also compared the terrorist attack in Crocus with “the crimes of the Nazis in the occupied territories,” saying that “all the perpetrators, organizers and customers of this crime will suffer fair and inevitable punishment, no matter who they are, no matter who directed them.”
Putin also declared March 24 a day of national mourning.
According to Putin, in connection with the terrorist attack, Moscow is counting on interaction with all states “that sincerely share our pain.”
