A country like Burkino Faso under a coup as well as extreme terrorist threat, alienating western support, with all this poverty is under extreme risk, even Somalia with all the support from Biden and Erdogan is struggling.
The western support throughout all those years have done nothing to change the country situation.

My fuse is your idea of Africans not having sense of national unity or identity, except for religion, tribes and clans which is false.

Also there is nothing like Fulani nomads vs Igbo farmers it is just media tag.

I could be wrong i hope you can correct me brother.

No harsh feelings.

Especially the stupid aid money that was pockted by corrupt politicians also created dependance.

Thats what the West wants to trap people into endless debt and dependancy.

Don't make a fuss, secretary!

Erdogan, having agreed to his candidacy, probably thought: “Well, what kind of secretary will this buffoon make?
NATO Secretary General !!!”
He mentally imagined Rutte sitting on the stairs at Putin’s door and crying with resentment that Putin did not receive him

There should be a Turkish secratary.

USA, UK, Turkiye and France are what holding nato not useless countries like the Netherlands and Denmark.

Italy is more valuable than Denmark, Netherlands and Norway put together.

As much as I beef with France you cant deny their contribution.

They make their own planes and submarines they also have their own nukes.

While at the same time they have overseas territories like New Caledonia and Tahiti which is right next door to Australia.

Exactly...the aid is been looted by politicians who are actually their stooge, while the common people suffer. You can only control the people when they are poor.

They make and use a non-stealth fighter in the bloody 2024. And they name it "Rafale" meaning "gust of wind"

Motherfuckers named their plane after a fart and I think that's telling.
French naming conventions are a joke but using rafale is good planning. 4th gen planes are so much more cost effective, one has to be an idiot to not use them once air superiority and SEAD is achieved.

The situation here is very complex.

1. while we have a case of herders and farmers clashes. Majority of the attacks are carried out by members of same community who disguise as herders to settle scores between themselves.

2. We have the issue of terrorism who are been sponsored by big wings/politicians to frustrate the government, most people will argue that it is about jihadi or Islamic agenda, but they have killed more Muslims than Christians. Infact religion hardly matters this days as everyone is just looking to survive.

The military success in the northeast have caused the sponsors of terrorism to switch to using kidnapping which have become rampant this days and the military have become to stretched, though it has reduced a little due to recent military operations.

Note: I am using Nigeria as reference point.

In all that I have just stated the number one problem Africa have to deal with is poverty which is the backbone of terrorism...poverty creates a breeding ground potential terrorists.

West uses it as an argument oh look they cant govern themselves.

You gotta remember the Europeans said the same thing about the Turks.

Barbarian Turks cant govern but the Ottomans reached the gates of Vienna.

Is the funding for the military 100% domestic ? Including training ?

"The Department of State provides Nigeria with one of the highest International Military Education and Training (IMET) allocations in sub-Saharan Africa, with approximately $5 million obligated from FY 2019 –2023.. Nigeria is also a partner in the Africa Military Education Program (AMEP) and has benefited from approximately $500,000 since FY 2016 to support instructor and curriculum development at Nigerian military schools. From FY 2016-FY 2020, $1.8 million was obligated for Nigeria in Foreign Military Financing to support maritime security, military professionalization, and counterterrorism efforts. Nigeria is an active member of the Trans-Sahara Counterterrorism Partnership (TSCTP) and has benefitted over $8 million worth of training, equipment, and advisory support for counterterrorism efforts between FY 2019-FY 2023.

Building on the AGI program, the Department of State has obligated $941,000 in Peacekeeping Operations Funds (PKO) since 2021 for advisory services to the AFN to enhance accountability and justice by developing systems and practices on civilian harm mitigation."

Burkino Faso has lost this kind of support which I why I say it is fucked

"As of 2023, about 25% of all terrorist attack deaths worldwide have occurred in Burkina Faso, which is governed by a military junta headed by Captain Ibrahim Traore."

351 Gambian soldiers were prepared for the security of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit with the training support of Turkish soldiers.

Turkiye's Banjul Ambassador Oba, Gambia Defense Minister Njie, Gambia Chief of General Staff Cham attended the closing ceremony of the training.

Looks like a whole Turkish Special Forces team was deployed to Gambia.
