I'll be really curious to see how Iran's air defense makes out. On numerous occasions I've heard that it's much improved. It would be cool to find out how effective it was against Israeli ALBMs.

"Officials in Israel confirm: the attack in Iran is over. Their forces are on their way back to Israel. More than 20 targets were attacked"

I guess let us wait for all the footage from sat recon etc to analyse and parse through what likely happened....and if any Iranian response by then.

Catch you all later folks.

It seems that Israel's attack on Iran was nothing more than a show-off

The attack went so bad that pro-Israeli sites are publishing pictures and videos of old attacks and labelling them as the aftermath of the current Israeli retaliation

As expected, Scott Ritters nailed it with his accurate prediction of the current Israeli attack

Largely a "for show" strike. It's being widely reported (as expected this close to the election) that the American government said "no bueno" on any of Iran's oil production or nuclear production facilities.

«Iranian officials comment on Israeli strike. It is reported that Israeli missiles of those that were not intercepted by the systems Defense- missile defense, attacked targets in the capital Tehran and several ostans (Iranian provinces). Among other things, strikes were reported on the territory of the provinces of Ilam and Khuzestan - both near the border with Iraq».

Iran calls the Israeli attack limited, claiming that there are no casualties.
From the report:
«The Iranian air defense system successfully repelled the act of aggression, intercepting most of the missiles. The damage was limited. In some places, the scale of the incident is being investigated».

What a pathetic response after weeks of talking big how they will now break the hands of the Mullahs, how Iran will now suffer a defeating blow etc. It is like me promising a chick how I will f*ck her like an animal/pornstar the whole night with my 10 inch monster cock... and then finish in 30 seconds on the floor before even touching her.

Pathetic.

What I would like to know is; Whose airspace was violated by Israel to carry out these attacks?
Or did Iraq, Syria and Jordan allow their air spaces to be used?

Im thinking Jordan and Iraq.

Iraq barely has airspace to protect. They can easily be violated by anybody.

Or Israel was allowed by Saudi and the UAE discreetly.

Syria and Iraq are likely to be the two countries whose armies have been at risk for the longest time, and in my view King Hussein would risk entering into for a zero-sum game

What is there to allow, use Syria and Iraqi airspace.
Both countries lack air defence systems, the US uses both airspaces all the time without asking or worrying,no?

You gotta remember this whole issue has been made worse by Jordan.

Jordan numerous times have backstabbed Palestine.

Not surprised this is the same family that backstabbed the Ottoman Empire. Hashemite family were treated as equals by the Ottoman Empire same with the Crimean Khanate.

Because the dumbass Sharif Hussein wanted to be the Caliph. The British and the French used him as a tissue.

Then came the Saudis who tookover the Hejaz and the British easily threw them out and became buddies with Saudi Arabia.

All because Sharif Hussein wanted to cosplay as the Caliph. His so called Arab Empire went to the drain which is pretty hilarious.

Imagine that dreaming of an Arab Empire only to end up with Jordan hahaha

If Syria and Iraq are sovereign states, any action over their airspace is in violation of international law if they have not consented to it.
US, has the “so called” rights over Iraqi airspace as the victors of the last gulf war. But over Syria they are disregarding all international norms.
Israel have no rights over either country.
Turkey doesn’t have an effective air defence system in place yet; apart from its airforce. That doesn’t mean Israel can violate it.
But we are at a stage now whereby International law matters little. If you are strong you are righteous. (As they say in Turkish: “Ağanın ayıbı olmaz” - there is no shame for the Lord-)

They can easily argue UN article 51. Both Syria and Iraq were used as launching points for strikes against Israel. And AFAIK, they are still de jure at war with Syria.

Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. Measures taken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defence shall be immediately reported to the Security Council and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security.

Above article doesn’t give any country “carte blanche” to violate another’s airspace.
You are correct about Syria and Israel still being in a state of war situation. However there has been UN initiated agreement in force to cease hostilities and there was a de facto cessation of hostilities in place on both sides of their border until “intifada- Palestinian uprising” and later Lebanese war which was followed by the civil war that broke out in Syria.
But any UN article is open to different interpretations.
