There is nothing natural about that. The only region where kurds are majority is in Hasaka/Kamisli. Hasaka by itself is not viable to support itself as an isolated island. So, both sides of the river will be liberated, whether USA want it or not.

Like others have said, it was an extremely stupid gamble USA played with really poor odds, and they now lost Turkey for no gain. Most likely, they even lost a lot more than turkey but we will have to wait 20 years for that to play out in full.
