That is a lot especially when you think it is a sale to the US’s number one ally. It surely must include a lot of new tech, new Aesa radars, ancillaries and missiles etc. Even then, it is as high a figure as the 23 billion dollar Turkish f16 deal we were all discussing earlier.

Quite interseting news they are geting 50 new F 15 EX Eagle II and upgrading 25 F 15I to F15 EX for 18 billion... currently they have 50 F 15 in various older blocks + 25 F 15I ....i.e 75 F 15s in total so it seems that they are upgrading their whole F 15 fleet to a common conguration i.e F 15 EX and in addition to that they are geting 25 more F 35I with a separate deal soon they will have 75 F 35I + 75 F 15 EX + 50 older F 15 models + 102 F16I and 73 F 16 variants

Yes, Israeli air force would maintain overmatch in region for quite sometimes.

It kind of makes sense given Israel's air force.
Hornet nest is not big, but when shaken, the hornets fly out and introduce massive multi-vectoring to the enemy. We saw this in the recent strike packages sent.
Israel basically has to be ready to fly out at moments notice and do its mission plans tasked and developed over many decades to deal with the main existential threat (Iranian regime). Ground BMs have much larger footprint and can be caught napping and can't multi vector or integrate as well with airborne SEAD/DEAD in real time.
Most other countries in developed world have sufficient strategic depth and guaranteed alliances with the US.... for more conventional ballistic missile options....and dont face anywhere near the same existential threat from a regime. Their airforces can rest easier and focus on more conventional A2G, A2A and recon tasks.

Contrary to common belief, it’s not a “deep penetrator” but an air burst bomb.

But afaik this bomb can only be dropped from a C-130 and its variants. So how will they fly into Iran with such a big plane without getting shot down?
