Scandalous! Such actions while they let DEM/PKK call the shots in the parliament! Fvck this!
The real scandal is that there are no political parties in Turkiye other than the Zafer party and some small political parties that are against the renewed peace process. MHP, AKP, CHP, YRP, DEVA, and GELECEK all agreed on that.Scandalous! Such actions while they let DEM/PKK call the shots in the parliament! Fvck this!

How the heck are Turks just taking this, we nearly dragged Aliyev onto the streets and killed him right then and there when he tried to downplay Armenians shooting at our border guards. And I'd describe a lot of Azerbaijanis as politically spineless to be completely blunt.
Hell when we had some random asshole in southern Azerbaijan try to stir up Talysh separatist sentiments, local Talysh people kicked his ass and handed him over to police custody themselves.
I don't get it.
I think this arrest will backfire on AKP. Zafer is most likely to have a boost on votes. The real scandal is that there are no political parties in Turkiye other than the Zafer party and some small political parties that are against the renewed peace process. You people like to turn every criticism into "YOU ARE ISLAMAPHOBİC!!!!" always the same case, this country has been in economical and sociological ruin thanks to "political islam" average muslim don't go around stealing from others or making his own people poorer everyday.
I rather side with Ataturk than child predators and terrorists. (funny how the ones who hate Ataturk always like to marry kids).
Always the same always the same during the 90s they cried oh no I can't wear my headscarf (total lie), I can't go to mosque (lie) I can't live as a muslims (lie) with their lies and crocodile tears they started to rule this nation and after years of crying they started to jail people and enforce their own cult style islam into others very Ironic. Cry for years and as soon as they get the power they start oppressing people, putting their own relatives, letting their islamic fellows marry kids etc this is just rotten but hey you guys are the moral ones right not the "western degeneracy lovers" right?

TÜSİAD President Orhan Turan: “Establishing a criminal organization is easier than establishing a company. Lieutenants are dismissed, but in many cases that cause outrage, such as earthquakes, fires, harassment, femicide, and workplace accidents, the culprits are either not found or are released in a short time. We are witnessing new examples of public officials being removed from their posts. "The basis of the modern state is the rule of law. If there is no trust in the law, insecurity, instability and uncertainty will prevail."

The whole world is going authoritarian and the democratic states are either watching or sucking up to them.
While the world watches corruption, oligarchy, fascism, populism, and anti-democratic moves by western and western-allied governments,
Mr Erdogan may have seen the opportunity to act upon that.
But instead of obliterating the YPG/PKK/DEM, he blatantly goes after opposition leaders and now TÜSiAD.
A real deal breaker for many if you ask me.
according to this guy having less freedom is a good thing aight.Yes, but not to the same extent as today. International trade on the scale you describe was not possible during the Cold War and until the 1990s and 2000s, Turkey simply did not have the contacts for diversified trade with several countries. The economy was linked to that of the West. Thanks to the coups, every time the country was on the verge of emancipation political and economics, it was put back on the EU & NATO dependency line with suddenly attacked by debt, interest rates, rating agencies to keep them back in western spheres.
Sorry, but these are not coincidences - they are familiar patterns.
I have great respect for you, but you don't know much about real geopolitics.
If you describe it that there were hardly any differences to the past, why was the currency worth toilet paper in 70,80, 90s in Turkey much more then now.
How can you keep a country small through economic control, dependencies and selective pressure? With these means...
From the 1950s to the 2000s, Turkey was an absolute nothing economically, geopolitically and militarily and under Full Control from USA & EU.
1. 1960 Coup (Adnan Menderes Government)
- Economic Situation Before the Coup:
- In the 1950s, Turkey under Adnan Menderes pursued economic liberalization, investing in infrastructure, agriculture, and industrialization.
- Turkey took loans from the West, but Menderes also sought economic independence and started engaging with the Soviet Union for trade and development projects.
- Inflation and economic problems were rising, leading to tensions.
- Why Did the Coup Happen?
- Menderes clashed with the military and the secular elite.
- His outreach to the Soviet Union and attempts at independent economic policies made him inconvenient for the West.
- The military staged a coup, and Menderes was executed.
2. 1971 Coup ("Memorandum Coup")
- Economic Situation:
- In the 1960s, Turkey followed a state-led economic model focused on import substitution and industrial growth.
- The economy was becoming less dependent on the West, with a growing domestic industrial sector.
- Meanwhile, leftist movements and trade unions gained influence, increasing resistance to Western economic dominance.
- Why Did the Coup Happen?
- The military issued a memorandum forcing Prime Minister Süleyman Demirel to resign.
- The increasing leftist influence in the economy and political instability were perceived as threats.
- After the coup, neoliberal economic policies favoring the West were promoted.
3. 1980 Coup from Kenan Evren
- Economic Situation:
- The 1970s were marked by a severe economic crisis with high inflation, unemployment, and political unrest.
- There were attempts to stabilize the economy through protectionist measures and a more independent industrial policy.
- At the same time, violent clashes between leftist and right-wing groups escalated.
- Why Did the Coup Happen?
- The military intervened, claiming to restore "stability."
- After the coup, neoliberal economic reforms were introduced, benefiting Western interests.
- Turkey was reintegrated into Western economic structures.
4. "Postmodern Coup" of 1997 (Against Erbakan)
- Economic Situation:
- Turkey started diversifying its economic partnerships, reducing dependence on the West.
- Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan built close ties with Islamic countries and attempted to establish an independent economic policy.
- Why Did the Coup Happen?
- The military forced Erbakan to resign.
- His economic and geopolitical shift away from the West was a major concern for secular elites and Western interests.
- After his removal, Turkey returned to a pro-Western economic path.
5. 2016 Coup Attempt (Against Erdoğan)
- Economic Situation Before the Coup Attempt:
- In the 2000s and early 2010s, Turkey experienced strong economic growth under Erdoğan.
- Dependence on the West was gradually reduced, with strengthened trade relations with Russia, China, and the Middle East.
- Turkey began positioning itself more independently geopolitically, and taking a more active role in Europe and the Middle East
- and the US increased, particularly over Turkey’s foreign policy in Syria and Libya.
- Why Did the Coup Attempt Happen?
- Officially, the Gülen movement was blamed for the coup attempt, which previously had close ties to the West.
- Many observers suspect that Western intelligence agencies were at least aware of the coup push, plans or tolerated them.
- Erdoğan accused the West of indirectly supporting the coup, as relations between Turkey and the US/EU were strained at the time.
- After the Coup Attempt:
- Erdoğan significantly consolidated his power and launched mass arrests of military personnel, judges, civil servants, and opposition figures.
- Turkey continued to move toward political and economic independence and deepened its relations with USA, EU and also Russia, China, Africa and the Middle East.
Which Islamism? Erdoğan has been in power for 15-20 years, both men and women still whore around when they have to. The women still put on miniskirts, still wear thongs on the beach and both men and women drink in bars in Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir & Co all night and fuck all night if the money is right.according to this guy having less freedom is a good thing aight.
Enjoying other nations freedom and cheering for less freedom in your own country yeah islamism checks out. I hope to see right wing party win the elections in germany so I can welcome you to Turkiye @IC3M@N FX. To the admins seeing this don't expect me to not talk about how someone is cheering less freedom in the country that I live in.
results of being a shithole Its easy talk your mouth up there in germany mr muslims also calling turkish woman whores because they don't want to marry your pakistani cousins.Which Islamism? Erdoğan has been in power for 15-20 years, both men and women still whore around when they have to. The women still put on miniskirts, still wear thongs on the beach and both men and women drink in bars in Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir & Co all night and fuck all night if the money is right.
So explain to me again if this is also possible in your form of freedom in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Iran & Co? You let Erdoğan tell you this and that from the opposition that it will be better when they come to power, but in the end the same thing will happen, people will do the same shit as Erdoğan, only with the subtle difference that they won't put some of the money in their own pockets, but all of it. They seem to be screwed several times over, like in Istanbul, where not even the most absurd things like garbage collection, sewerage, electricity and public transportation work properly.
If all the politicians before Erdogan were so good, why didn't they build an infrastructure for water and electricity and roads in Turkey, covering the whole of western and eastern Turkey, which are essential for a functioning state.... where were all the hospitals covering the whole of Turkey, where were all the airports covering the whole of Turkey, where was the TÜV, where was the arms industry that we know today?
Where is a healthcare system? Who prevented these parties from doing something good for their country, who prevented them from not doing it? Where were they?
I don't care who is in power, whether it's Erdogan or person XY, but I definitely want to see results and I can see that with him.
