If the US pulls out, Türkiye should lure in the entire Balkans into an economic union. Pretty sure no one wants to side with Russia unless they have to. The US will try to creep back in the post-Trump era, so Türkiye has an opportunity right now where both Russia and the USA will be absent.

The only issue now is what's happening internally with Erdoğan's mass arrests, I don't think we'll have the same appeal we had 5 years ago. It's clear that instability is on the horizon, and I think regional actors are aware of this.

The US withdrawal, Russian setback and Iranian embarrassment present great opportunities to Türkiye, but really doubt we'll capitalize on any of this with Erdoğan at the helm.

To clarify, Serbia's military has seven modern air defence batteries; everything else is old Soviet junk. Once the Rafale is delivered, there will be 28 air defence batteries and 30 fighter jets.

i believe that Turkey could deter Serbian expansionism, especially if it could get other Balkan countries on board, after all nobody wants an expansionist state right on their border.

The EU expansion into the Balkans killed any chance of that.
Still plenty of opportunity there and the EU is toothless. The real issue is our own economy. Now with Erdoğan turning the barrel towards all opposition, don't expect anything good until he is gone.

Bro this nonsense of Israel conquering and forming an empire needs to die off.
Right now, they „conquer“ parts of Palestine and wants to grab more by displacing Palestines and calling all Jews around the world (by law) to come back ‚home‘. Also, parts of Syria and Libanon are occupied. This is not theoretical, that’s real.

Doesn't matter we need to keep the peace in our neighborhood and remove the terror threat faster and harder. When our enemies gets a chance they will arm the terrorists with more heavy stuff. To keep us from excerting nationality to those who're caught in a tough spot.

The EU should get nothing from us especially considering they have shit nations in the club who'd rather see the world burn than face reality.

If possible those EF order should be increased to 60.

Can't count on US to deliver the engines. Trump will want to produce in US for jobs.

Let them defend themselves,we should only help Ukraine and Hungary if need be.

Turkiye has influence in the Islamic World and the Turkic world.

Lets see it has influence in the Eastern Med, Black Sea, Middle East, North Africa, Caucasus and in Central Asia.

People are so thick if they think Greece has this kind of sway in the region.

Turkiye for centuries fought against Russia but was also a vanguard against the Soviet Union and communism in general.

What does Greece, Armenia or Israel provide?

I support bolstering relations with our Far Eastern cousins. The South Koreans and the Japanese.

It is proposed to rename the White House the Yellow House (a mental hospital)

Republican congressmen have introduced a bill to completely withdraw the United States from the UN - Fox News
The bill proposes to stop funding the organization and its agencies, as well as ban participation in peacekeeping missions. It was introduced by Republican Senator Mike Lee.
Congressman Chip Roy is ready to introduce the bill in the House of Representatives. According to him, the UN is failing to prevent wars and human rights violations.
As Fox News reports, the reason is that "the organization no longer serves American interests."
The sponsors of the bill note that the United States should not continue to fund an organization that, in their opinion, undermines their interests and supports opponents. The bill also prohibits the administration from entering into agreements with the UN without Senate approval.

On February 21, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Parliament, former Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey Hulusi Akar.
The Turkish general presented Aliyev with ... the key to the Zengezur Corridor :)

Current geopolitical situations put Türkiye in the centre. Not surprised and nothing funny about it.
It's not about Mr Erdogan's person but more about the country's clout.

You are right.

I laughed at the French rooster.
There is no reason to laugh at Erdogan.
In my opinion, he has an successful foreign policy.

There is:

  • Good leaders in bad times: Atatürk
  • Bad leaders in bad times: Abdülhamid II
  • Good leaders in good times: Süleyman the Magnificent
  • Bad leaders in good times: Erdoğan
Türkiye was always poised to be a regional superpower. Defence industry was restarted in the 70s, relatively educated population, secular, in a neighborhood of weaklings, has one of the best military traditions in the world and a strong sense of nationalism.

Despite all these advantages:
  • Türkiye hasn't been able to defend its borders against illegal immigration, not only from Syria but Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. There are potentially millions of undocumented refugees in Türkiye, including many criminals, rapists, terrorists, etc.
  • PKK/YPG has established a state next door and we are now accepting it as a peace process is underway
  • Iran continues to give weapons to PKK, including missiles which have hit our drones. We've done absolutely nothing to oppose Iran's illegal activities
  • We aren't doing anything to support Turkmens in Iraq or Syria. Despite sharing a common history and language, we've just completely neglected them.
  • Countless mistakes which cost us our economy, F35s, chances of entering EU, etc.

Honestly one of the only good things geopolitcally speaking has been Azerbaijani's victory. That's what happens when a Turkic army is well armed and well motivated. I don't attribute this victory to Erdoğan when he still hasn't been able to wipe out YPG.

Most of what Erdoğan has done regionally has been making TSK a counter balance against Russia in Libya and Syria. But in the end this has just benefited US interests, we've done little to capitalize on these victories. In other words, Erdoğan is no different than Islamist puppets that the US supported in the Cold War.

No one in the region, including Russia, and the US wants a Kemalist regime in Türkiye because for the first time in decades, we'll be focusing on our own interests instead of running errands for others.
