According to open sources, the Turkish Air Force inventory currently includes approximately 238 F-16C/D type fighter aircraft. The model distribution is as follows:
- 29 F-16 Block 50+
- 71 F-16 Block 50M
- 102 F-16 Block 40M
- 36 F-16 Block 30TM
I don't believe it was mentioned before but I wouldn't be surprised at all if we consider it in the future. As far as I can remember, US was also considering RAM paint for their F-16s, as they are also upgrading theirs. These jets will serve 15-20 years more as the work horses, perhaps not facing peer level enemies but flying missions nonetheless. Giving them any advantage, however little it may be, is just common sense.Maybe stupid question, but is KAANs stealth coating considered for out ÖZGÜR F16s?
There has to be electrical continuity for the advanced ram coatings, the f16 shape is probably not suitable for that. Plus it would probably be thicker than regular ram paint, and alter flight characteristics.I don't believe it was mentioned before but I wouldn't be surprised at all if we consider it in the future.
