Yes we need new jets, but as long as we don't have to fight strong armies, we can manage with cannon fodder and chocking our enemy with troops, that's the mindset I see.
I do not see us getting new jets from procurement, so our own engine projects need to yield hardcore tangible results, we need TS1400 powered helicopters in 100s and we need to produce hurkus 2 en mass. expecting to see a fully blown jet in the next 5 years doesn't seem realistic at all.
