Indonesia rejected all offers and seems to have finally made its choice in favor of the Turkish KAAN fighter. I have long been watching with interest, even when Turkey was only dreaming of a 5th generation fighter, what the Indonesians would choose - Rafale, KF-21 or Su-35. When Indonesia, after many years of deliberation, completely unexpectedly chose KAAN, the Russians were shocked: "What is this KAAN?! Where did it come from?! How can this be?! How can these Indonesians prefer a fighter that does not exist?!" The thing is that Russian propagandists (who are also experts) have long been assuring their audience that the Su-35 is incomparably better than the F-35 (

), that Turkey does not have a national aviation school (in the broad sense), that without producing previous generations of fighters it is impossible to immediately produce a fifth-generation aircraft, etc. And suddenly, a bolt from the blue: out of all these French, Korean and Russian fighters, Indonesia chose ... KAAN!
Now Russian propagandists are trying to explain this inexplicable to their flock.
It is funny that the Russian author compares KAAN not with SU-57, which is supposedly a 5th generation fighter, but with SU-35, a 4th generation fighter. This is done intentionally, as if KAAN and SU-57 are simply incomparable things!
The failure to mention SU-57 is probably also due to the fact that its production has stalled. In 15 years, only about 20 units were produced.
Remember 6 years ago Putin offered Erdogan the SU-57?!

What do Russians think about KAAN?
This is an article about him. As is usually the case with Russians, it contains a lot of half-truths, propaganda and outright falsifications. But the comments are interesting.
In addition to Indonesia, Egypt also rejected Russian fighters (Su-35). Then Russia offered Iran the same fighters (24 units). But Tehran, as the Russians themselves admit, wants Chinese J-10s.
