From now on, TNI AL will need to obtain many more new helicopters.
Based on their long term plans, there will be more frigates, even destroyers and several LHD. TNI AL really need to think carefully which helo to chose.

I really don't want to see TNI AL in the future to have 3 type of different ASW helo, 3 type of different attack helo, 6 type of different utility helo.

The fixed panel radar only for search and track, not for target illumination right?
Why not adding 4 more fixed panel radar for it? Or movable illuminator is already enough (and cheaper).

I thought the rotating radar was the long-range volume search, while the shorter-range but more accurate fixed panels are used for targeting. The smaller fire control radar to my knowledge are for the twin 76mm guns.

I have no clue though so if any expert is able to weigh in with their knowledge, it's much appreciated.

Cafrad x-band radar, each set(4 panel) can perform only either search and track or illumination/targeting.
Search and track (CFR), Ilumination (AYR).
And idk what's on FMP, maybe you are right.

Unlike for example kronos wether x or c band can perform both search and track also illumination simultaneously, like kronos C band on our KRI Brawijaya.
