The occupied “Presidency Disinformation Center” denies - Anger at Turkey: “The US is using the island of Cyprus and its territorial waters as if it were under their sovereignty”
This morning, several missiles were launched from a submarine off the coast of the village of Balalan in Karpasia, opposite Turkey, within the territorial waters towards the occupied side of Cyprus, according to our article.
The incident has caused panic on the Turkish side that controls the Occupied Territories, while the Turks are still searching for the submarine (probably Israeli) that carried out the launch.
The issue has flared up on Turkish social media sites, with the following being reported:
“The Greek Cypriots may have granted permission for their own areas, which is contrary to the founding and guarantee agreements of Cyprus, but American operations in the territory and territorial waters under the sovereignty of the occupied are illegal and constitute a violation of sovereignty.
Turkey and the Occupied Territories should immediately issue a diplomatic note to the US and declare that the airspace and territorial waters of Turkey and Northern Cyprus are closed to the US and Israel.
This is a Virginia-class nuclear attack submarine, likely US-owned, that fired Tomahawk cruise missiles at Iran.
The direction of the low-altitude, eastward plume is also consistent with an attack path over Syria and Iraq towards Iran.
The launch time coincides with the attack on Tehran and the Iranian facility at Natanz earlier today.
The Virginia-class submarine of the USS Gerald Ford aircraft carrier fleet did not transit the Suez Canal and remained in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The US apparently considered the Karpasia Peninsula in Northern Cyprus suitable for underwater operations to attack Iran, and this may not have been the first such attack,” the publication concludes.
The incident has alarmed the Turks, who are currently keeping a tight lid on the incident, while the US and Israel have not announced anything.
We do not know for sure whether the submarine belongs to the US or Israel, but this move has certainly already caused great disruption to the plans of the Turks, who were clearly not aware of it, and it will never be as things appear from now on.
At the same time, the so-called "Presidency Disinformation Center" of the occupied states claims that the allegations circulating on social media about the launch of missiles within the territorial waters of the Occupied States do not correspond to reality.
Ankara is facing a fait accompli, and we await its reaction.
