PRESIDENT FUAT OKTAY - That is related to us, to the Parliament, that is, we are actually the ones who should be addressed with that question, not the other way around.
The reason is extremely clear: In every Commission meeting - perhaps you have noticed, if you look at the minutes - the last paragraph is always
"We are working on the incoming draft laws here, we are bringing them to the General Assembly. Please let's bring the political groups together and
let's not leave these void, this is in the interest of our country and our citizens." Unfortunately, most likely it comes every year,
it voids, it goes back. Now, that's why we expressed our opinion, but it came to us on 22/01, the date I mentioned earlier, three
months, as of now it has come to us, to the parliament, but unfortunately this is one of the problems of our Parliament. So, there's actually no point in the 113 draft laws that our Commission worked on and sent to the General Assembly waiting there. Unfortunately, perhaps we, as the Commission, have expressed this many times, but maybe we can't get the message across, maybe the relevant ministries at the executive level aren't creating enough awareness, but behind each article there are months, and in some cases years, of hard work.
